So you like writing stories. Why not make a game out of it? -- Introducing StoryNexus

There is a company, Failbetter games.

http://www.failbettergames.com/

They are most famous for the 'game' Fallen London.  Basically imagine a choose your own adventure story framework with programmed randomness and grindy elements.

Fallen London describes itself thusly:

“Thirty years ago, London was stolen. Now it rests on the shore of the Unterzee, that old dark ocean under the world. Hell is close, immortality is cheap, and the screaming has largely stopped. Steamships ply all the wild black zee, between the Iron Republic and the Elder Continent, between Hunter’s Keep and the Travertine Spiral and the Dawn Machine. Welcome. Delicious friend.”

Welcome to a dark and hilarious Victorian-Gothic underworld, where every choice has a consequence, from the style of your hat to the price of your soul.

I describe it as what Neil Gaiman would write if he still had an imagination.

The system used to construct Fallen London is called the StoryNexus.  StoryNexus is in beta and you can use it to make your own chose your own adventure game.  There are also options to monetize your creation.  And it appears to be all free.

Perhaps someone may even be motivated to make a Lusternia newbie experience.
