I couldn't think of another thread to post this in, so I picked this one. But I don't think I ever appreciated just how much of a struggle pet owners have while computer-ing.

Strays and lost dogs seem to be really prone to either that or vehement opposition to having attention paid to them. My old roommate adopted a stray who would cry loudly if he didn't have a human in his field of vision. It was less than adorable at 3 am.
Errabundus was stray (hence the name) who wouldn't have anything to do with humans when he first showed up 14 years ago. He'd just hang around our husky and hide whenever we came near. We managed to wrangle him into the basement where I continued to feed him, and day by day he let me get closer and closer. We basically gave him Stockholm syndrome and he became my familiar.

Does he complain about going out outside and getting exercise? Does he get super excited to see you every time you come home?

This is Daisy. She is the most gentle and quiet dog I have ever known, but very cheeky and bold. I love her to bits!
We took her in in September 2016, she was unwanted her in old home and locked in a cage every day, and never saw past the small kitchen she was confined to. Now she lives with us, she runs mad around the house, has a million-and-one toys but prefers to eat our socks instead, she sleeps at the bottom of our bed except when she wants to jump on our heads and possibly eat an ear. She very rarely goes into her crate, only when I have to run to a lecture or shopping is needed. She gets a walk every day (sometimes twice!) I can safely say, this girl has all the love she deserves and more, and is a spoiled brat
Okay so a few months ago my sister kind of dropped the "I attracted a stray and can't keep her" thing on some of our family. My mother, knowing full well that I already have two cats, immediately chimed in with YES GOOD HE NEEDS ANOTHER CAT LEGO. So, I naturally couldn't say no. This is Ellie on her first night home, having a frighten at everything.
She has since become Best Lap Cat and Snuggle Buddy, and is for the most part free of the "Bitch I come from the streets and will wreck everything you hold dear" attitude. My floofy princess :3c
