  • Does the demigod trait One with Nature for both Elfen and Faelings work differently depending on whether the race is specialised? That is, getting the guild bonuses means One with Nature then excludes Blacktalon/Hartstone forest respectively?

Or does the resistance/buff bonus exclude the race's opposing (unnatural?) terrain regardless of whether you are specialised or not?

I've been poking around this myself and it seems to be actually org dependant instead of race dependent. As a faeling I get the one with nature on hartstone ethereal forest, same for elven. Faeling and elfen on glomdoring would get one with nature on the wyrden terrain type.

Additionally, it's all forest locations that are naturally marked as forest.

I had it bugged because the helpfile for faeling says they only get regen on glomdoring, but the bug was closed with the comment that it was working as intended.

  • @Daraius I just tried. No, you can't.

  • The tingling on the back of your neck returns momentarily before abruptly vanishing.

What exactly is this in dreamweaving?

Avurekhos says, "Dylara's a PvP menace in my eyes, totes rekting face."

The eye of Dylara materialises in your hands and flings itself around your neck, tightening incomprehensibly until it is irremovable.
Perfectly clean, this eyeball has been wrenched from the socket of Dylara. It has been animated by some unusual force, constantly looking around itself as if in shock or fear. It is bathed in a light covering of white flames that roll endlessly over its surface. A single chain of empyreal metal pierces either side of the eye, allowing it to be worn around the neck.

To be more clear, that's dreamdrift. It works just like teleport with all of the same restrictions and timescales, just no third person messages. Moving or dropping a mono (or some other effect that stops teleports to you) avoids it.

Are there any runes that you can use to make standards permanent?
  • Does the Lucidian damage buff to "magical and excorable" damage apply to only magic and excorable damage, or to any damage whose source is magical, and also to excorable damage regardless of source?  :-/
Jadice, the Frost Queen says to you, "Constant vigilance."

Magic and excor damage typing. Magic source (which was based off of int) is not longer a thing.
  • EnyalidaEnyalida Nasty Woman, Sockpuppeteer to the Gods

Semi-related, any time you see a mention of damage sourcing in an AB, you should file an ABBUG pointing this out so that it can be removed. I've done this for any skillset I have a dump of that I've gone over, but that's not yet every skillset!

What the helpfile means is that if you are in a non-natural environment that has Serenwilde green-forest in it, you won't get One with Nature as a Faeling (but you will if it's Wyrden-purple there).  Natural environments, whether Serenwilde or Glomdoring, will work just fine for you regardless.

There're artifact standards, though they are goop arties.

I feel like there was a post somewhere with resources to help people become better roleplayers. Of course, I can't find it anywhere. Can nyone recommend some resources for someone just starting out in RP?
Everiine is a man, and is very manly. This MAN before you is so manly you might as well just gender bend right now, cause he's the manliest man that you ever did see. His manly shape has spurned many women and girlyer men to boughs of fainting. He stands before you in a manly manerific typical man-like outfit which is covered in his manly motto: "I am a man!"

@Xenthos yes, that's what the helpfile says. But I can stand on a terrain that's normally say astral. If it's converted by a seren druid into ethereal forest => One with Nature. If it's converted by a glom druid (wyrded) => No one with nature.

Which is why I bugged it back then, because it's not what the helpfile says it should be :)

Nuts, that's what I was afraid of! I kind of understand the balance considerations, but still makes for a sad Elryn. :(

@Elryn don't let the regen hinder your choice. Faeling is still fun and great ( yep, am biased ) and you get free flight, which is really -quite- useful. I would highly suggest trying out the regen too ( even if I'm wrong on how it's working, regen in enemy meld? sure, there's worse things ;) )

  • @Aeldra Nah, Faeling was always my favourite race anyway (although Wildewood/Wyrdenwood is a close second). Just means there isn't much value in the divine spark artifact, which at least answers my question.

Not sure when you bugged it, but there was a bug with that for a while that was recently (within the last week or two) fixed.

I bugged it three months ago. I guess I'll have to test it again, then.

edit: just tested it again and it's now how the helpfiles states it should work. meh. But one with nature was never a useful thing for faelings outside glomdoring to begin with.

  • Is Shrine Vendetta worth the cost? It doesn't show on bodyscan (I assume because it is only useful against order enemies) so I can't judge how much it is adding if at all.

Can someone please shed some light onto how mechanically being member of a cult works? I suddenly got a veneration skill, but all those powers sound to me as if they could be only used by the cult founder. Why do they even show up for me ?
Avatar / Picture done by the lovely Gurashi.
  • There are quite a few Veneration abilities that can be used by any member of the Cult. Quite a number of the strongest abilities can only be activated by the Cult Leader, but will affect all Cult members, or even all Order members (or even allies). Lastly, there are a few abilities that can only be used by the Cult Leader WITH a certain number of Cult members in the room with him, like a ritual.

Basically, it's a shared skillset with a mix of individual and group abilities, that also have a mix of individual or group effects.

If the skillset is not transcendant yet, you can contribute to it by offering (the skill cannot be progressed via lessons, only via bashing and using essence gained when you offer to the patron).

The avatar that owns the cult is working/worked hard to get the skills for the benefit of everyone in the cult. Many of them won't have a direct effect on you. Just consider them a bonus! Pilgrimage is definitely handy for directly teleporting to the godrealm, and vindicatedvendetta is handy for fighting, and devoutshield is all around helpful (and pretty sure all can be cast regardless of whether you're the avatar or how many are present).

Basically just consider it a bonus for serving a god :)

It is worth the cost. It doesn't show on bodyscan though because it just works against Order enemies and isn't a general buff. I think it's like 10% or something. In general, I don't tend to use shrine powers etc unless it's for a big event.
