Zouviqil, Maylea, and Colours

Near the argent trunk of the Moonhart Mother Tree.
Towering high above is the Moonhart Mother Tree, stretching her enormous branches heavenwards. There are 5 kephera nature warders here. There are 5 moon maidens here. There are 15 frost hags here. There are 20 centaur hunters here. A mature birch tree stands proudly here. Bursts of vibrant red light arc across the surface of the small shrine here, thorny roses wreathing its base. Reaching up as high as the eye can see looms the awesome presence of a living totem.
You see exits leading east and west.

The light bends in a stunning array of prismatic colours as Maylea steps from
the aether.

Maylea, Bloom of Serenity says, "Greetings, little Moondrop."

You blink.

Zouviqil dips into a deep bow.

Maylea smiles softly.

Nervously, you say, "G-greetings, Lady Maylea..."

Maylea tickles you mercilessly!

Moondrop Zouviqil Myeras flails about and giggles
uncontrollably, gently trying to stop Maylea.

Maylea, Bloom of Serenity says, "It is beyond Me why I make everyone so
nervous."

Maylea purses Her lips pensively, gazing off into the distance as She carefully
gathers Her thoughts.

Moondrop Zouviqil Myeras stands herself up straight, still
averting her gaze from looking at Maylea directly.

You say, "You are a Goddess, You are far stronger and wiser."

Maylea, Bloom of Serenity says, "Never mind, it is a thing we shall overcome."

Keeping her gaze averted, you say, "I... I am glad to see You, though... I'm...
guessing You heard my prayer..?"

Maylea, Bloom of Serenity says, "I did, of course."

Zouviqil looks away, clearly uncomfortable.

You say, "Well... I have a problem, You see... and I've only spoken of it to two
people..."

Maylea tilts Her head and listens intently.

Plainly avoiding looking directly at You, you say to Maylea, "... I see
colours."

You say, "And I'd like it to stop. Very badly. I have for as long as I can
remember. And it's overwhelming."

Gently, Maylea, Bloom of Serenity says, "What colours do you see?"

Keeping her gaze away still, you say, "The variations of hue, of saturation, of
brightness, they all depend on the person. Some are..." She pauses, starting to glance towards You, but then looks away again. "... brighter, than others."

Maylea, Bloom of Serenity pauses a moment thoughtfully.

Maylea, Bloom of Serenity says, "What gift you have been granted, welcome or no,
is not in My power to remove."

Moondrop Zouviqil Myeras visibly droops at Maylea's words.

Maylea reaches out to tenderly cup your cheek in Her hand.

Maylea, Bloom of Serenity says, "Why is this such a burden to you?"

Allowing her cheek to rest in Your hand, eyes closing half-way, you say, "I... I
want to be able to be around others. I see people able to go together in groups, and talk, but so many together, it's so bright..."

Her eyes tearing a little, you say, "And I don't want to look at people and
judge them off of their colours... it's hard to avoid it... certain colours feel nicer, certain colours match better... but... I don't want to just look and see and know... I don't want it..."

Maylea, Bloom of Serenity says, "There lies many ways to look at all things...
the simplest way to put it is thus: blessing or burden? Not all blessings are easy, and yet we must trust that the Fates know better than we do."

Closing her eyes briefly, you say, "Is there... truly nothing I can do about
it?..."

Maylea, Bloom of Serenity says, "Nothing that will not cause you to stop being
the little Moondrop that is so loved by so many, I fear... nothing but taking My suggestion and seeking the serenity to accept and look at this thing from new eyes and a new perspective."

Moondrop Zouviqil Myeras slowly removes her cheek from Maylea's
hand. She instead holds onto Maylea's hand with her own, looking off to the side, to nowhere in particular.

You say, "If... it is not a problem to be solved... then maybe, if I could beg
of just a little more of Your time..."

You ask Maylea, "... advice on how to tell my parents?"

Maylea, Bloom of Serenity says, "If you are worrying and as sad as you are now,
they will worry as well."

Zouviqil shakes her head some.

You say, "I don't let them see my sad face, or my scared face."

You say, "Mommy and daddy need to see me strong."

Maylea, Bloom of Serenity says, "Seclude yourself for a time. Let go of your
fear and your worry, and consider the issue of yourself... think of this as a part of you rather than something that can be cast away. Decide anew if you are fearful or worried at all."

You nod your head slowly in understanding.

You say, "I will try seclusion then... and... a new perspective..."

Maylea smiles softly.

Maylea takes a single rainbow orchid from a sky-hued bluebell.

Maylea spins the orchid in Her hands, and the colours shift along the petals,
forming a new rainbowed configuration as it bathes Her face in prismatic light.

Maylea gives a single rainbow orchid to you.

Glancing over at you slowly, you say, "Lady Maylea?.."

Maylea, Bloom of Serenity says, "Yes, little Moondrop?"

Moondrop Zouviqil Myeras looks down at the rainbow orchid, but
then a little up at Maylea.

You say, "Your greens and pinks and blues... I've never seen such pastels shine
so brightly before..."

Looking away again, you say, "... thank You, for sharing them, even if it wasn't
a decision on Your behalf."

The ghost of a smile passes fleetingly across Maylea's lips.

Maylea, Bloom of Serenity says, "Turn the orchid in your fingers. It will linger
yet in your hands a time."

This orchid is every colour of the rainbow, shifting fluidly from one to the
next in an overabundance of shades blending into each other. The colours are slightly darker at the centre stamen. Five pristine petals unfold with sweeping grace from the central flute of the flower, each placed with careful precision to form the flower's face.
It weighs 2 ounce(s).
It does not retain any heat whatsoever.

You spin the orchid in your hands, and the colours shift along the petals,
forming a new rainbowed configuration.

You say, "It's beautiful..."

Maylea leans close to you and gently lays a kiss upon your forehead.

Maylea steps into the aether, the air around Her blurring into a wash of colour
that fades as She disappears.

You say, "Thank You, Lady Maylea!"

For those wondering why I included the colours of the flower in the log...
