Commodities and what else they can be

As a fledgling trademaster, I've heard about commodities that can be used for some special materials.  The one I know off of the top of my head is that iron can fill in for metals like bronze and the like. Is there a compiled list somewhere that lists all of these exceptions? I'm mainly interested in ones that can be used in cooking, but I figure knowing all the others couldn't hurt.

I don't think there's a proper list, but some off the top of my head -

gems - glass/any cut gem not existing as its own commodity
    marble - ceramics/clay
iron - any metal that doesn't exist as its own commodity
feathered corpse - any use of feathers
    any corpse - blood/bones
    milk - dairy/cheese/cream etc
    fruit - nuts
palette - any and all colours in place of individual tints
    infernobeetle - obsidian

Also, cooking designs don't require you include things like tints, or materials for utensils/crockery etc. Just the comms for the food.

It's because so many facets of the game are outright broken and protected by those who benefit from it being that way. An overabundance of gimmicks (including game-breaking ones), artifacts that destroy any concept of balance, blatant pay-to-win features, and an obsession with convenience that makes few things actually worthwhile all contribute to the game's sad decline.
