Everiine said: The reason population is low isn't because there are too many orgs. It's because so many facets of the game are outright broken and protected by those who benefit from it being that way. An overabundance of gimmicks (including game-breaking ones), artifacts that destroy any concept of balance, blatant pay-to-win features, and an obsession with convenience that makes few things actually worthwhile all contribute to the game's sad decline.

    Appearance:
an icicle and snow flurry earring
    Dropped:
A blue sapphire earring rests on the ground here in the dust.
    Examined:
Composed of two main parts, this earring glitters in the light with a
soft blue glow. A sapphire icicle of a deep ocean blue colour pierces
downward from the silver ear hook by the length of the ear. The dark
blue angles of the spike of ice show off clearly all the facets of hand
carved shard. Surrounding the icicle is a small white sapphire flurry of
snow in mid-descent composed in a bell shape of half the size of the ice
spike. Each of the snowflakes is unique in size and shape. Each
snowflake's points is made from a fractal that swirls into the middle to
create another fractal. All of the snowflakes are joined with small
silver wire in a subtle way as it rests freely on the top of the icicle,
allowing for the flurry to spin gently.
    and
    Appearance:
    a violent storm
    Examined:
Inked into the side of the torso in dark vibrant colours are jagged
blots that paint the illusion of tearing flesh. Crimson red shades along
with dark emerald hues form the image of lucidian bone covered in blood.
Small sparks of blue lightning flare from within cracked sections of the
crystalline insides as a violent storm of power and wisps of icy winds
surround the emerald bone. Ominous clouds of grey leak out from the top
edges of the torn flesh edges and wrap up towards the edges of the back
as if the body can't hold anymore.

Edit: Not sure why I can't do quotes but whatever.

I'm not surprised to see Thayan named the winner, but I'm extremely curious about the piece that actually won it!

    That watch is stunningly gorgeous.

    Appearance:

an unearthly tea cup of oil-painted Ourobori

    Dropped:

An unearthly tea cup of oil-painted Ourobori rests upon a slim, angular
    disc.

    Examined:

This porcelain tea cup is given a malleable appearance from afar due to

its coating of seemingly fresh, oily, hand-painted scenery. Tones of

dark green and black blend together upon the complete cup. Laid by a

sensitive hand in an expressive demeanour, the artist has depicted

intertwining Ourobori in tones of darkened gold, bronze and hazily

shadowed details which skilfully seem to blend a tad in the devouring

background. The cup possesses a delicate, slightly flaring rim lined

with fresh dark red paint upon which are imprinted the lips of the last

drinker. The cup rests upon a slim, dark porcelain disc with areas of

crackled paint near the edges. In the centre of this disc, a still

puddle of oil surrounds the contours of the cup or fills the available

space when said cup is taken away.

Note to self: Make very long examined descriptions for my designs.

    Appearance:

a contemporary cubic bookshelf of smooth, dark wood blocks

    Dropped:

Oblong blocks of smooth, dark wood are piled up to form a spacious,
    cubic bookshelf structure

    offering four facades of shelves.

    Examined:

This immense bookshelf of a contemporary style has been designed for

both aesthetics and convenience. Piled up blocks of smooth, dark wood
have been brushed to perfection, leaving a pleasant sensation to

the touch. Sharp cube-shaped blocks rest one upon the other at the four

corners of this perfectly cubic structure to support thick rectangular

shelves. There are no back panels to the shelves, leaving the ability to

see everything inside or on the other side of the bookshelf. While

imposing in the size of its components, the blocks appear to rest on

each other without anything else to hold them together other than
    gravity,

conveying through the structure an unique sense of fragility. The
    bookshelf

stands elegantly in the middle of the room, leaving four spacious

shelving facades to hold a phenomenal quantity of books and small tools.

On the bottom of a panel, a delicate signature has been carved by the

    creator, almost unnoticeable.

    Appearance:

an antique bronze coffer journal clasped by an Ouroboros of darkened
    wood

    Dropped:

A bronze coffer journal clasped by an Ouroboros of darkened wood rests
    on the ground.

    Examined:

This large, rectangular coffer of heavy, brazen metal has its surface

worked gracefully to depict a greatly detailed labyrinth of monolithic

Ourobori. The design covering its entire surface grants to the ensemble

a fierce nobility. A delicate Ouroboros of darkened wood is used to seal

the brazen receptacle, upon which very subtle delineations allow the

perception that one would be able to open the item. The Ouroborian clasp

is deeply carved with an impressive amount of details. A few of its

scales bear ancient remains of hand-painted sanguine or dark green hues

deeply absorbed within the wood. The interior of the coffer is almost

completely filled with chitinous, onyx scales and golden sand. One would

need to push them aside to discover a thick pile of old, hardened

parchment pages, left loose and in a questionable order. Messy

scriptures fill the parchment pages as well as many ink stains and quick

    annotations.

    Appearance:

flowing robes of silken viridian held with gold and iron Ouroborian
    clockworks

    Dropped:

Sheer, lustrous viridian silken robes woven with various metals are
    abandoned here.

    Examined:

Sheer, lustrous silk dyed in deep viridian is meticulously sewn to form

these robes of high quality fabric. A high, straight collar slightly

unveils the throat of the wearer in a sharp and hollow neckline. These

robes are prettily loose-fitting to the wearer's form as a soft caress

to the skin and allow ample movement. The waist is held tightly with

clockwork gears of shiny gold and dull iron carved to form an Ouroborian

scenery. The metallic gears of various sizes are displayed in an

aesthetic manner. They hold the waist closely to crawl up and encase the

left shoulder grievously. Long, plain sleeves of viridian silk end at

the wrists of the wearer. The fabric of the flowing robes falls heavily

into vertical folds until it touches the ground. A large hood protects

the wearer from capricious atmospheric conditions.

  • I've already dropped it elsewhere, but:
a scintillating gown of the endless night

Twinkling like the night sky, a gorgeous gown lies here.

A vision in midnight blue, this gown is cut from the finest silk and underlaid with a mesh of metallic thread to lend it both strength and shape. The silk is dyed a deep blue and inset with innumerable gems, powdered into a fine dust and arrayed throughout the cloth in such a way as to reflect the sky on a clear night. Galaxies of beryl and sapphire spiral along the skirt, which is bunched into an elegant pleat, while gold thread has been used to subtly accent familiar constellations among the countless miniature stars. Silver silk adorns the bottom edge of the gown in an elegant trim that fades slowly back into the darker blue, interrupted only by a silver embroidery that ties both the visible and under layers together. The skirt is set on an ivory cage, which also lies under the bodice to define its shape. More silver silk is set along the neckline and at the shoulders in a scalloped portrait style, accenting the wearer's face with a touch of elegance and terminating in a pair of cap-style sleeves. This too is dusted with gemstones, though only diamond and even that lightly to allow the wearer's own beauty or lack thereof to shine through. Where the bodice and corset meet the skirt, a sheer black chiffon sash encircles the waist, providing an inky band of contrast between one and the other. The entire garment shimmers and twinkles like the scene it represents, with some of the larger clusters of stars even emitting a faint light.

RC (designed by Maladaari, posted with permission)

    Appearance:
obsidian robes decorated with ashen bones
    Dropped:
Shimmering black robes have been discarded here, tokens of bone awry among their folds.
    Examined:
Black voluminous cloth has been cut and sewn into a swathe of robes, with long, billowing sleeves, a large and deep hood, and fabric that stops just at the ankles of the wearer. The robes are comfortable and light, but all-encompassing of the wearer's form. Chips of obsidian carapace have been sewn in liberally and haphazardly everywhere, making every movement gleam with wisps of muted rainbows as light reflects off of the pieces. A mother wyvern's skull has been affixed to the top of the hood, dusted with ash, as dry as a victim of the Skarch. Her lower jaw rests at the robe wearer's clavicle, giving the impression of being within the fearsome creature's mouth. Mammoth ivory has been cut into slim white blocks, each etched with a burning wooden pyre. Seven in total run down the wearer's back in a caricature of a spine, the ivory also dotted with motes of ash. Two vibrantly orange and large tourmalines have been sewn into the debris of shattered obsidian, one at the sternum, and one placed atop the navel area of the front.
