Cauterize works as an instant kill at high enough warp. At high warp levels it does damage akin to unleash. So for group combat there isnt any opportunity cost for trying and failing like other instant kills

Ya open cavity at the end, it doesn't usally do that much damage to most folks. I dont think he had sensitivity on for that hit unless he missed curing it earlier on. The guns usally add on about 5-600ish damage themselves.
