In my years playing the game as a ranking druid, I have never known (Serenwilde) trees to be chopped in any way that involves any of the positive parts of conflict you mention in Tree Chopping in CommunesComment by EnyalidaAugust 2015
The barkguard provision that allows for protecting elder trees is indeed not capped, and was added only after a long history of begging for it, from literally day one of Wildewoods. It was instituted before totemcarving was moved into the totems ski…
That's seriously not how Wildewood protection works, Malarious. The times protecting an elder would prevent you from chopping it are exactly the times where if that Wildewood was a druid they would just carve the totem.
Guilds that have lower population or a slow pace of changes/improvements tend to have fewer credit sales. Guilds get credits from purchases made by guildmembers, and guilds with few people or slow changes have little use for the gold and may only do…
I agree with that. Personally, I'm in favor of going with all three, and making further changes to make the forest power generation scheme more unique or interesting at a future date if desired.
The general problem I have with that is that gold is easy to come by and requires no out of character investment, but everything depends on having credits including getting gold or esteem. The need for credits touches everyone and almost every aspec…
REALLY? You must not get around the internet much :P The Lusternian forums are an over-moderated pile of joy, even compared to the forums of the other IREs.
What do you use gold to buy, besides credits? That's really my question, if the cost/benefit here is more credits for more people or more gold for more people... I think we should go for more available and cheap credi…
Even then, that means that if you respond instantly you have ~3 seconds to act before they chop again, downing the tree and running away. Better hope you can lock them down in those three seconds so that they can't get away.
@Malarious read the report and its comments, they are basically what you have said here. Also, a few of your details are wrong regarding how -wood guarding works…
For the interested, I've pasted the report as it stands now into pastebin here. All envoys who have commented so far appear to be in agreement in general on the problem and the solutions, wit…
Even with forest to forest conflict, there is nothing either side can actually do to resolve conflict - the mechanic only escalates to the point where the forests are hurt more with no totems at all. We can rattle our weapons at the cities or other …
I love all of that stuff. The bind I've been is having joined (long before thinking about it) a family that isn't a good fit for any historical houses and later wanting to participate in a historical house as a blood member. Leaving the family to st…
I would REALLY REALLY REALLY love some way to reset my family status to build a new family. I feel like the family system is pretty static, as there just aren't enough new character to really raise a new big house. Being able to reshape families wou…
Assuming you know all the people who have been recently punished and seek out all of their profiles, sure. I mean a button you click (or a thread) that says
"In the past 30 days, these people have been issued punishment x by y person for…
That's not the point. The point is seeing who is doing the banning and why. I don't really think there's much need for a codified banning system, besides a set of general guidelines on things that are certainly not allowed (like say... forum rules).…
In the case of Serpent, they aren't going to be raising any defenses power or otherwise - they're trying to get out of combat entirely! With the exception of critical or balanceless defenses (metawake, insomnia, etc.) does anyone generally raise def…
