This happens a LOT in Serenwilde too. Contests with only one or two entrants, council projects that no on responds to (until you implement stuff they had no input on, because they didn't offer input). It's why any time I run a c…
The basic problem is that books are easily forgotten, walled away in the Library among countless others, where most players don't really have a compelling reason to wander. Public records praising the successes of org writers, and helping to pick th…
If the first thing you think upon getting an artifact is "Wow, trading this in at a 33% loss is way better than keeping and using this artifact", that artifact is probably valued too highly.
Passive curing in general is going to be stronger with the new paradigm. Perhaps it might be worth making a third person message showing which cure balance the cured aff was on (though not the specific aff)?.
The Seren epic is not very hard once you know what you're doing. In recent years, more hints have been added, with the quest mobs actually hinting at the next step. That said, it's still a random collection of random tasks, and I have NO idea how yo…
With the overhaul, there is a great opportunity to tune warriors so that the runes don't create a huge power gap, and the runes absolutly should be simplified/priced down.
A lot of the old utility artifacts are also really overpriced. Looking at you: Crystal ball, Specs of Seeing, Pocketwatch, Glamrock, Gilded Mirror, Flowerpot, Candybox, Poisoner's charm, and Paintbrush.
Isn't Eileen the one with the... normal rainbow? It might have something to do with the fact that her competition are the emo leprechauns and the giggly candy leprechauns, neither of which anyone likes very much.
It depends on where you are IG, but there can be a void of deep, public RP. A lot of the really cool, not trivial or silly, stuff is done 'behind closed doors', which can make it feel like nothing is happening.
I'm pretty sure it's both: Adjusting the values given for the five tier system into a better ten-tier system, AND checking to make sure that those assigned values are in the right ballpark (which in Buff SpecificsComment by EnyalidaMarch 2015
That's the idea, @Ssaliss. I didn't literally mean a true 'quest' with puzzles and all, just a short trip to an appropriate org mob or two, for RP reasons. Perhaps…
Another, much simpler^, idea would be to introduce some new abilities into trade skills. Allow bookbinders to make blank cards, which can then be written on and named. Enhance unenchanted cardpacks, allowing them to contain these blank cards and shu…
It would be cool (and tied in with RP) for something like the Seventh Towers's Beastmaker game. Basically, it's a take on the already-existing miniatures battle system crossed with psychodrama. You take turns applying modifications to your combatant…
Enemy statuses aren't motivated by profit. It's not profitable for forests to enemy you for anything, especially not in proportion to the vast resources each nation already has - especially the older ones.
I think Roark and I are going to have to chat about how Wildecall/fireflies is going to work. The badger effect was omitted somehow, and would coincide with any reasonable reading of fireflies, without damage sourcing being considered. I think he se…
They're not talking about an item that you can freely use the DESCRIBE command on, for infinite free hair. I don't really understand why you can't just use describe self to describe your hair though...
That's more or less true, it's a paradox I take fair pains to explain to younglings in my charge in Serenwilde. There comes a point where that doesn't cut it anymore, though.
And pushing Gaudiguch to do the quest means that Gaudiguchans who do it have to deal with the outcomes of said quest. Not seeing what your point actually is there.
