AB PERCENTAGES seems to be a bit weird, but from what I've noticed, the percent isn't affected by favours, while the rank is. So if you're at, say, Mythical 50% in a skill, and a favouring temporarily bumps that to Transcendent, the readout will show Transcendent 50% (As opposed to the percentage column being blank like normal with Trans). Likewise, if you're at Expert 68% and a favour boosts you to somewhere in Virtuoso, the readout will say Virtuoso 68%. (Even if you only have the skills of Virtuoso 33% from the favour boost).
The purpose of writing is to inflate weak ideas, obscure pure reasoning, and inhibit clarity. With a little practice, writing can be an intimidating and impenetrable fog!

That is not what Stratas said. He is simply saying that one half of the text returned ignores the favour (the percent) and the other half respects it (the rank). Not sure if that is the case since I have never tested it, but his post has nothing to do at all with how much a favour actually adjusts your skills.

just want to offer a general apology to everyone who may be involved
in a little issue recently. I know some people have been a bit hurt and
upset and my default reaction was to dive in head first to try and
fix things for everyone asap and make everyone happy again but I think I may have made
things worse by poking my nose in trying to help when patience would have been the better option.

TIL I learned that I was orbiting about my first nature clue ( which I didn't solve in the two hours I was trying ) by a -single- room difference. Adrenaline or frustration did make me miss it... (building on Zoaka) :-(

He is not talking about the actual Favour. He is talking about how AB Percentages displays its information.
Ab Percentages shows your true %, but it doesn't show your true rank, instead it shows your favoured rank.
