Upcoming Tessera tournament (March 12th US time)

As mentioned in an in-game announcement, I'm running a Tessera tournament, for anyone that might be interested in participating, subject to sufficient participants (which I'm hoping that I will get some more participants, given that there is a Truefavour from @Roark up for grabs!)

Due to Daylight Savings kicking in in some areas of the USA on Sunday morning, I thought I'd make a quick post about what time the event will run at approximately.

GMT: 10pm March 12th
PDT: 3pm March 12th
MDT: 4pm March 12th
CDT: 5pm March 12th
AEDT (Melbourne, Australia): 9am March 13th

I will be posting brackets on Challonge for those who are not participating but want to keep track of how things are progressing.  Also, as long as @Weiwae is able to make it, there will be an exhibition match before the tournament between Kagato and Weiwae for those that are unfamiliar with the game and want to see one in action.

If olive oil comes from olives, where does baby oil come from?

If vegetarians eat vegetables, what do humanitarians eat?

  • Thanks for introducing me to Tessera, @Kagato -- I never knew what it was 'til today and enjoyed it thoroughly!

Any time.  Was nice to have a decent turnout.  Many thanks to @Ianir for supplying spare Tessera boards to allow more than one match to run simultaneously, plus for giving favours for the three placings.

    Subj: Tessera Tournament Results

On the day of the 10th of Roarkian, challengers assembled at the

Vesteran World Stage to compete for the title of Tessera Champion. Among

the challengers were Gero, Nelras, Selenity, Tirah, Anita, Asmodia,

Remmiel and Kendra, with a guest appearance by none other than Lord

Ianir, the Anomaly, for a single exhibition match.

Many heated matches were played, some with levels of deep levels of

insight and cunning, others ending abruptly to unexpected lapses in

judgement that proved to be 'fatal'.

Only one could rise to be the victor though, with the final results

    ending as thus.

Winner: Gero (Truefavour from Ianir for 30 months, Truefavour from Roark

    for undetermined time)

2nd: Nelras (Truefavour from Ianir for 20 months, 35,000 gold)

3rd: Remmiel (Truefavour from Ianir for 10 months)

Congratulations and thank you to all who chose to participate. Another

tournament will be announced in the coming months, but with a different

    game - Bombard!

I'm sorry I missed it, but I do think this is a really cool way to promote Lusty's board games.
    I used to make cakes.

Might do that.  Was going to do Bombard, but a Bombard match can take a while since it is pretty much a lusternian version of battleships. Fate matches can be much faster.
