They do cost gold, but it is a one-time draw from the Power Ministry when it's built.

  • Then that's at least a somewhat consistent drain of gold out into the ether.
Everyone is a genius. But if you judge a fish on its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.
  • Keeping on the previous idea, how about paying 5m-10m gold to imbue one existing construct with a power from another construct from the same org for one IC year? Would give orgs unable to get a bubble to spend gold to put up their powers instead.

    Example:
Serenwilde have no bubbles, but they want the free discretionaries. They plop down 10m gold to imbue that power into their Living Altar on their Nexus world. Thus, they now have free discretionaries for one IC year.
Should they during this time get a bubble and builds the Guardian Tree on it, both constructs will have that power. They won't get a refund on the 10m gold.

Only if Magnagora's spike gets balanced with its related constructs.

  • PhoebusPhoebus tu fui, ego eris. Circumstances
Other orgs have enough gold to drop 10mil on something that only lasts a year? ...good grief. I need to lie down.
  • The cost can always be discussed.
