Moving from web client

Hello!

I'm new around these parts, and I need a new client, as the web client is wonky and doesn't work properly for me consistantly. My connection is good, so it's driving me a tidbit mad that I can't move around or influence like I would like to because of my interface.

Anywho, I guess I'm asking for suggestions, since I know next to nothing about the different clients and what makes them different from each other.
A whisper from the trees and a frosty presence tells you, secretly, "But you are strong, little
flower, and wise." The voice shifts and expands, becoming more real. "And everything you just said
in the ritual made me feel safer. You should, too."

Most popular clients are MUSHclient and Mudlet, as far as I've seen. Be aware that MUSHclient does not run natively on Mac, if you have a Mac.
  • Thanks!

Weird, my computer has decided that I don't get to use MUSHclient because it has declared it dangerous. Guess it's Mudlet for me!

Mudlet is good stuff.  Boilerplate recommendation to check out http://wiki.mudlet.org .  Has some good stuff to get you started.

  • Mudlet is really good.  It's probably the best client out there, supported well, used by most people around here (so it's really easy to get help), very intuitive, and free.

My only complaint about MUSH at the moment is that I have to use it through WINE on my Linux system, which works well until I get into a fight and it doesn't process fast enough because of the extra computing layer (not a MUSH fault, but something I have to deal with if I'm running it through WINE).
Everiine is a man, and is very manly. This MAN before you is so manly you might as well just gender bend right now, cause he's the manliest man that you ever did see. His manly shape has spurned many women and girlyer men to boughs of fainting. He stands before you in a manly manerific typical man-like outfit which is covered in his manly motto: "I am a man!"

Pony power all the way, yo. The more Brontaurs the better.
