It's not as bad as Mage's Ice Armour.

Think you've won, give them a +8 and watch them draw Pyroblast next turn. Fffffffffffffffff

The divine voice of Avechna, the Avenger reverberates powerfully, "Congratulations, Morkarion, you are the Bringer of Death indeed."

You see Estarra the Eternal shout, "Morkarion is no more! Mourn the mortal! But welcome True Ascendant Karlach, of the Realm of Death!

It is the most useful thing ever, especially when I used to travel for work.

That's why I'm glad I can go 1000 miles North and 500 miles South before having to show any papers :p

  • Started keto (low-carb diet) last weekend. It's a bit more work to prep food if you can't eat grains, but I'm playing it smart and bulk prepping food on the weekend. This not only means I can be lazy during the week and just reheat food, but also that I'm eating a yummy non-bread lunch which is eyed with envy by my colleagues. And if all goes well, I'll lose weight. If you want to succeed at something, it sure helps to figure out the pitfalls and turn them into wins.

You have received a new honour! Congratulations! On this day, you have shown your willingness to ensure a bug-free Lusternia for everyone to enjoy. The face of Iosai the Anomaly unfolds before you, and within you grows the knowledge that you have earned the elusive and rare honour of membership in Her Order.

Bulk-prepping food is -amazing- if you have the time to do it. It is especially good for me because I lack the ability to gauge quantities for fewer than four people, so I always end up with leftovers!

The only sad thing here is that our freezer is really quite small, so I can't do it as much as I used to.
  • I only have a little freezer shelf in my fridge, but I got smaller containers that I can stack nicely in there. Plus not keeping a bread in there has cleared some room :) I've considered a standalone freezer but it would need to be in the kitchen and would probably be in the way. If I weren't renting I'd probably have it built into one of the shelves. And get a dishwasher while at it :P I am however glad that the kitchen has a really good oven. Roasted chicken breast for a whole week in there. Nicely crisp on the outside, and the inside is still juicy but perfectly done. Am a fan of oven cooking anyhow, means you don't have to stand there and watch it. Same with microwave steaming veggies.

  • Earlier today my laptop gasped out her last breath, a wheezing cough of stray processes and overworked RAM.

I salvaged what I could - a little drive containing 240GB of all my memories, logs, and (of course) files.

    So I got to work.
    image
    Tore out the hard drive...

    image
Reseated it in preparation to install into my desktop (which prior to today had no WLAN connection because I'm a doof and forgot to include one in my schematics when I built it last year; I've just been using my laptop for everything online instead)
    image
    And now here we are!

It's a pretty ghetto setup at the moment, but I'm quite pleased that I was able to cannibalize the parts from my laptop and keep them working in the desktop. Not a single lost byte of data!

Note: The WLAN card (and, much more harrowingly, its driver) was also reassigned to the desktop, but that's less exciting.

    image
Much less so than the optical drive, at any rate.

    Pics or it didn't happen.

(PS Please don't send me any pics, I don't need to go blind at this time.)
Everiine is a man, and is very manly. This MAN before you is so manly you might as well just gender bend right now, cause he's the manliest man that you ever did see. His manly shape has spurned many women and girlyer men to boughs of fainting. He stands before you in a manly manerific typical man-like outfit which is covered in his manly motto: "I am a man!"

Everiine said: The reason population is low isn't because there are too many orgs. It's because so many facets of the game are outright broken and protected by those who benefit from it being that way. An overabundance of gimmicks (including game-breaking ones), artifacts that destroy any concept of balance, blatant pay-to-win features, and an obsession with convenience that makes few things actually worthwhile all contribute to the game's sad decline.

Psh. At least get the line right. It's actually:

The Portal of Fate flashes as Kiff steps through, now ready to begin a fresh life in Lusternia.

Yeah but considering what "portal of fate" refers to here, we don't want to imagine it flashing.

  • Got a new food processor!

What'd I make to break it in? Cookies!

    Yay cookies!
A whisper from the trees and a frosty presence tells you, secretly, "But you are strong, little

Woohoo!  I finally managed to secure a stall area at one of the local markets this weekend, now I can REALLY get my business out there and people aware of my products ^____^

If olive oil comes from olives, where does baby oil come from?

If vegetarians eat vegetables, what do humanitarians eat?

Very nice! I remember the first time I got a booth at one of our local Renfaires.... Exciting stuff!

Out of curiosity what kind of products do you make?
  • KagatoKagato Auckland, New Zealand
Mainly bodycare products such as soaps, lipbalms, etc - though I have recently started making handmade scented candles as well (which have been surprisingly popular)

I have a thread with photos of some of my products at http://forums.lusternia.com/discussion/663/montwick-bodycare

I think this is a rave and not a rant of some sort. I think.
