    Vote Count -

    Dylara: 1 (Othero)
Lehki: 8 (Dylara, Krackenor, Ssaliss, Vivet, Thul, Ileein, Cen)

    That's a lynch!

You all turn, for what feels like the fifth time, towards Lehki, and begin to advance on him dangerously. "Hey!" Alec's sharp voice cuts through the clamour, and you turn to him confusedly. "Not in here, this is where we eat. If you want to do something like that, take it to the main deck where it's easier to clean." He stands and begins to move towards the door, not looking to see if you were following or not. Sylandra is close behind, though not before she pulls a lighter from her pocket and sets fire to the papers he was just reading and dumps them into a nearby iron waste basket.

At Thul's suggestion, Krackenor and Othero grab Lehki and twist his arms behind his back, escorting him to the main deck, where Alec waits with his arms folded over his chest. He opens his mouth to speak, but glances at Thul and gestures for the man to continue instead. "Well, do you have anything to say for yourself?"

Lehki shrugs, looking more bored with the situation than anything else. "That crown looks good on you. Where'd you get it made?"

Thul scowls and states, "Anything useful to say for yourself?"

"Look, we all know how this is going to end. You're all going to get yourself excited and try and kill me, and then BIG SURPRISE," the sarcastic emphasis on the words is heavy, "I'll somehow mysteriously survive. Do we really have to go through this ag--"

The word cuts off in his throat as Portius kicks his legs out from under him and Krackenor and Othero let him drop to the deck. "You ath, I jutht bith my thongue!"

Portius rolls his eyes and pulls up one of his trouser legs before lifting a heavy boot and slamming it onto Lehki's head repeatedly, misshaping it after the first dozen and leaving a cocktail of blood, saliva, and mucous on the ground underneath it when he's done. "I'm really tired of hearing him speak," he huffs, wiping his boot against the deck in an effort to clean it.

As he does, everyone turns to stare at the body and waits. "Is he finally gone?" Othero whispers to Phoebus, audible to everyone, and she bends over to place her fingers gingerly against his neck. She closes her eyes and her mouth moves silently as she counts, and she stands up after a few minutes.

"There was a little bit of a pulse in the beginning, but he...he's dead now. I felt him die under my fingers." She shudders and wipes her hand against the handkerchief proffered by Thul. "I don't even know if I can be sad for him, not like the other people we lost." She side-eyes Alec as she says it, a lopsided frown on her face.

The Champion turns, looking at no one in particular, but his voice is steel. "The dead are dead. No one misses Luce more than I do, but if we allow the tragedy of the situation to distract us from our purpose, then we may as well jump over the railing now and save the Lunalaans the trouble." He points accusingly at the guardrail to the ship, "I've grieved Luce, but as you all should do, I kept my grief private and have not let it effect my relation with the living. I hope some of you," he glances up at Phoebus and Othero in turn, then does the same at Krackenor and Ssaliss, "Don't let his gift get wasted."

As the statement dies on the salty air, a trill from the heavens is heard, and a sparkling flash visible as Togekiss soars down, scattering faerie dust over Lehki. "Oh you've got to be kidding me," Portius says as he stares at the man in disbelief. Where his head was squished slightly, it begins refilling, broken nose repairing itself and teeth reforming from where they had shattered. Lehki suddenly sits up, gasping for breath and running his hands over himself to check for damage. He finally stands and a small smile crosses his face.

"Told you so," he teases, but no one is listening to him. All eyes are on the deck where he had died just minutes ago, the number '6' easily visible to the least discerning eye.

Alec scowls and calls for a deckhand, who quickly emerges with bucket and mop and begins swabbing away the mess, but a shadow of doubt falls over the group as you all glance around speculatively. "Well, I suppose I should have him just go to Lehki's cabin in the morning shouldn't I?" Alec drawls as he glances overhead at pregnant grey clouds ready to burst. "I'm going in, try not to catch pneumonia out here."

Not even a full second after he and Sylandra enter into the depths of the ship the clouds let loose their warm summer rain, soaking you all to the bone in a matter of moments. Discouraged from further action by the downpour, you all return to the comfort of your cabins to dry off and prepare for bed.

Mod Note: I'm extending the Night phase by 24 hours from this point on for my benefit. Thank you.

  • I'm a little concerned about Allyrianne, but if Lehki still manages to survive... yeah, him first.

In a smarter world, we'd have left him back at a station days ago, but mafia rules.

The eye of Dylara materialises in your hands and flings itself around your neck, tightening incomprehensibly until it is irremovable.
Perfectly clean, this eyeball has been wrenched from the socket of Dylara. It has been animated by some unusual force, constantly looking around itself as if in shock or fear. It is bathed in a light covering of white flames that roll endlessly over its surface. A single chain of empyreal metal pierces either side of the eye, allowing it to be worn around the neck.

See, if y'all had left me alive, this woulda been the shipping ship. Or the Love Boat. Take your pick, I'll own both puns.
  • If I had more time, I'd volunteer to transcribe this game into a novel. Best-seller material, right here.

All that I wished to gain by thee, I've lost:

and from my cradle, I've thy malice known...

As you all gather in the galley, you see that a room set to the side has its door wide open, and Alec emerges from it as the last of you enters the room. Sylandra steps out of the room after him a moment later, Lehki's lifeless body floating through the air after him and rotating slowly as she stops behind the Champion.

"He's dead, and I think this time he's really dead." Alec says, looking at a paper cup in his hand with a small frown on his face. "We're guessing some sort of poison, but we weren't able to find any sign of struggle." He shrugs and he and Sylandra exit the room, heading into the bowels of the ship with Lehki's corpse trailing along behind them. You all stand there awkwardly before Ssaliss suggests the main deck may be a good place to gather, so you all can get some fresh air.

The rain yesterday has washed away the bloody number and you can see how this ship was meant to be a pleasure cruise. Deckhands in form-fitting, attractive clothing walk around tending to the ships needs as they arise. One of the more paranoid among you notices that there are only five deckhands, but most laugh it off as coincidence. Some of you bask in the sun as others stretch and breathe in deep lungfuls of the salty wind, and soon you all gather to discuss.

It is now Day 7 of the CCS: Expedition's journey!
It will last approximately 7 days.

With 13 trainers alive, it is 7 to lynch!

  • Sheesh, finally.

Also, question... Are silver eyes notable in any sense? Or a silver flash? Or rather, both? I'd rather know what I'm revealing before revealing who I'm revealing my related relevation. Or something.

  • Also, the "finally" was in regards to Lehki, nothing else. She must've been part Meowth that one...

So, someone killed Lehki. That someone was not me. The message I got when I tried to kill him makes me believe that Melali jailed him, although that's an inference that might be wrong. He was not in his room, he was restrained, he was talking to someone.

So maybe the mafia strongmanned him?

  • Dylara, who's body did you investigate last night? Why did we not receive any report this morning?
  • I have the report, I'm clarifying it with Tremula why it wasn't posted at the start.

  • Well, here it is anyways:

    <i>ATTN: ALL

MEDICAL REPORT ON THE BODY OF KAIMANAHI

THE BODY OF KAIMANAHI WAS FOUND TO BE IN SURPRISINGLY PERFECT CONDITION, DISREGARDING WOUNDS CAUSED BY PORTIUS (INCLUDING: STRANGULATION, FORCED EXPANSION AND ABRASION OF THE ESOPHAGUS THROUGH INSERTION OF A STRAW DOLL BEARING HIS RESEMBLENCE) FOR A YOUNG WOMAN. THERE WAS NO INDICATION THROUGH X-RAYS OF ANY DAMAGE TO ANY BONES, OR ANY REMARKABLE BIRTHMARKS, SCARS, OR OTHERWISE DEFINING FEATURES. MY NON-PROFESSIONAL OPINION IS THAT IT IS AS IF SHE WERE CREATED THE DAY SHE ENTERED THE TRIP. MY PROFESSIONAL OPINION IS THAT SHE MAY HAVE BEEN AN ISOLATED, SHELTERED CHILD WHO WAS NOT EXPOSED TO THE SUN OR OTHER HUMANS UNTIL LATE ADOLESCENCE.

SCANS OF THE BRAIN SHOWED INCREASED DAMAGE AND ACTIVITY IN THE AREAS THAT DEFINE SELF AND PERSONAL CHOICE.

WITH THE ABOVE INFORMATION IT IS SAFE TO ASSUME THAT:

KAIMANAHI WAS KEPT WELL TAKEN CARE OF, AS IF SHE WERE A POSSESSION.
KAIMANAHI WAS NOT ALWAYS IN CONTROL OF HER ACTIONS, OR THOUGHTS.
KAIMANAHI UTILISED NON-VIOLENT MEANS TO HER ENDS.
KAIMANAHI DID NOT HAVE TO INTERACT WITH OTHERS DIRECTLY.

I'm taking it you watched me last night? Tremula gave me a reason for it, and I accept it, it puts the power more in my control rather than being out of my control.

  • What happened to me last night was that I tried to jail Cen, in order to protect him and also to talk to him privately. However, somehow I was redirected to Lehki. We talked, but then at the end of the night he grew weak and died, of poison apparently.

What I want to know is how I was redirected and who did it.
  • Okay, at work, so can't do anything big right now, but...

Cyndarin's ability appears to be what she says it is. I did not let it through for reasons.

Also, anyone who targeted Vivet with an action two nights ago needs to speak up for me, because I got an unexpected result.

Lehki's dead, but... not by Portius? Slightly disappointing finish.

Not gonna lie, I raged and tore up his room over it. Vandalism is a poor substitute for murder, but it's what I could do.

The thing that really interests me about Dylara's report is that I'm mentioned as the killer. If that only happened because I had already claimed the kill, then it's no big deal. But if it shows up on every nightkill report, then we have a great mafia detector. Do you know which it is, @Dylara?

I'm really not sure, it may have been only because you had claimed her death and I was "aware" of it when I went to do the autopsy.

  • Well, once again my power provided almost nothing of use, but @Phoebus can hopefully confirm that my flavor matched up with hers. She set a timer for 500 seconds (or 8 minutes and 20 seconds?) and spent that time watching funny Pokemon videos on Pokemontube. When it was done, my gps readings for her went all over the ship for a while before pausing in one place for a few minutes, then going home and watching Rainy Mood and going to sleep. As you can see: I can tell she targeted someone, but not who. And the flavor implies she did some wandering before going to her ultimate target, but I can't say for certain.
