Not an extended absence per se, but-

Currently in the middle of the (nightmarish) process of buying a house, and all of the nonsense around it. For the next month or so I should still be around fairly regularly, but I'll have a bit less time and a bit more absences now and then. I'll still always have immediate access to messages, so if you can't catch me for something, that's the way to reach me.

These past few days have been pretty revealing for lingering anger and ooc grudges. I'm going to take my own advice and have a few days off before I consider retiring. But this just doesn't feel like a game anymore.

So, the things that I tried to finish last week got finished; however, other things took their place (and the looming threat of an examination at the end of the month awaits me too). This isn't to say I am gone, but my presence is far more piecemeal than it has been!

We're only three days away from surgery, and I've scarcely taken time to breathe as we sterilise and prep for however long the hospital stay will take as well as ensuring we're fine for the quarantine once he's home with his new kidney.

I promise I'm not gone gone, we're just in the thick of it now.

Was hospitalized a couple of weeks ago, have been playing catch up with schoolwork, so I am on a hiatus again. Hope to see y'all in December!

I've already been a bit absent due to various life bits, but just got put through a real ringer the past couple of days. Suffice to say I will be scarce for a bit while I learn how to navigate having to take over raising two teenage girls by the end of the year. One of them starting this weekend. I'll still be on Discord though, so feel free to poke or say hi if ya want.

I'm going to be around for the next month, but I'll be a bit scarce. House guests next week, traveling in early December, and my mother has been diagnosed with stage four cancer so I don't know what's going on with that or if/when I'm going to need to travel for that. If I have a plot ongoing with you, I'll pick it up when I can, but don't expect much beyond just checking in until I can sort things out. Sorry about that.

Aleyah’s player has unfortunately taken rather ill with something that makes her experience severe vertigo and dizziness, with delirium and confusion that comes and goes.

they can’t really look at screens and asked me to make apologies for them on their behalf last we spoke on the phone. I’m not sure who needs apologies made, however, and they cannot, unfortunately, remember.

I am still majorly absent, however, this is a word for Terentians/Celestians/and any other Lusternian who might care, this absence will end come weekend of the 5th! A tunnel from exam prep/examing is there, I see it!

I'm around! Kind of! I'm on the west coast for now because turkey day. May or may not be here through Christmas. So, timezoning is hard (My sleep schedule has always been west coast but my eating schedule is stubbornly east

Popping back in to say that my physical health has declined, and while I am around I just do not have the energy to get into Lusternia in a meaningful way. Plus, exams until December 23rd.

Good news, bad news, good news.

Good news, I'm finally taking possession of the new house tomorrow. Bad news, I'll be completely MIA Thursday through Sunday moving. Good news, assuming nothing unexpected goes wrong (big assumption in 2020), I should be up and running and back to a more normal level of activity after that.

it seems to be neurological in origin and involves emergency care, whatever’s going on with the confusion and light sensitivity, something something teeth. Vagaries due both to lack of information on my part and medical privacy for an old friend.

And I’m still in a hotel somewhere in the Midwest. Should be back in Cali by New Year, fingers crossed.

(It seems this is the only thread I ever post in, sigh.)

The holiday season can be difficult for a lot of people for a lot of reasons. I hope everybody is handling it as best they can, especially in a year as unusual as this.

That said, for reasons I won't go into, it's hitting me hard, so I'm going to be taking a few days off at least to try and get my headspace back to normal. Looking to be back as soon as I can.
