  Sorry for the trouble with the announcer guys! This was a beast of a thing to code (final touches right before the Gala too!) and no amount of testing up in the havens could have prepared it for the onslaught and variety of options you threw at it. Special apologies to poor bards who had issues (till I found the problem) and who had to be announced manually, and all the GMs/GAs/GCs who got announced as CLs due to an error in logic, although you can't really complain can you?!

  I don't think I understand how the announcement works, because I tried it, and just sat there waiting for some other instruction or indication of what to do. If nothing actually did happen, though, that's pretty funny.

  Turns out it was one of "those things". Once I removed all the hacks that let us pretend we have various org/guild ranks for test purposes, it started working fine!

  Why thank you Tylwyth, I would never have realized that Glomdoring was the Summer Court, it's not like I wasn't there or anything when Glomdoring was first released as a player org.   Org-appropriate adjective, org/gender-based rank title, name, family name if applicable (with various adjectives based on house being historical/great/lesser/none of the above), and finally main job: elected title, minister, known guild position, or be called a slacker if none of the above.   I cannot rave enough about how wonderful the Gala was thanks to all of you. The sense of excitement and contrast of personalities and roleplay was wonderful, and well worth the headache I have now from being up until almost 4am. We do a lot of high-drama world events but it is really nice, now and then, to do something that is purely fun.

  Though I went mostly ignored during the Gala, thanks for having it and all the drama that came with it. It was great watching Serenwilde and Glomdoring have a "My penis is bigger" match and everything that went with it.
