More or less! I don't want to imply that you absolutely have to do Ancient Greek pronunciation on this sort of thing, even if that's my personal instinct. English does weird things to the pronunciation a lot of the time for reasons that are really tangential to this thread, so I'm just gonna leave the Greek form here αἰγίς for reference and then link to a guide to pronunciation for the curious. It's not the best one, but it's convenient.
