I imagine they likely have secondary characteristic, ie: body fat distribution, shape, width and depth of the hips, propensity to burn you to cinders, etc.

I used to believe that correlation implied causation, but that changed around the same time I took statistics courses. These two concepts may be related, but more research is needed.
