  • To be fair, this would over time allow for less genies/wondercorn/maps because an IG month seems to be slightly longer than a IRL day. That does change the whole phase of the moons bit, but makes those things slightly less valuable over time.
  • Fair enough, thanks for the answer
  • @Ianir Can we maybe get a bit more about this decision? I thought the discussion up to this point was fairly benign minus the usual "I'm smarter than you" bits. I'm…
  • Don't forget @Ianir with help from I assume @Kalikai has been spearheading th…
  • Is anyone else finding it creepy that we are assembling kittens and puppies from a crate of parts? I feel like a five year old mad scientist.
  • (Quote) That's harder to do here without gods splintering. That said, we have a -ton- of inactive Elders, and while it's great to see some come back, maybe splintering some would be cool too? I dunno.
  • I think the problem with melds is that they are both a passive offense and defense. Would removing the offense part and increasing the defense some reduce the fortresss meta some? Note that there is plenty of room for meld defensive passives that do…
  • (Quote) I'm watching nekotai closely because I think that monk outliers tend to show up there first. That said, you are leaving out that a tk user is also a melder or chemantic, and is doing other passive stuff on top of doing vessels. That's…
  • (Quote) To groups? Beckon and variants, mana kill... guardians have fun toys, but group usefulness wise, I've always figured it as melder>bard>guardian>monk>warrior, if you only have one of any. This changes a bit with a numbers, …
  • (Quote) If you want to be a priority target like those classes, you need to give up a lot of your group viablity. Monks add very little to groups compared to melders, and guardians aren't much better without healing. The question becomes if y…
  • My take as someone who isn't a melder: weaken meld effects and allow more than one melder to hold the same meld, then give mages some actual things to do in their primary that isn't staffcast or melding. Ideally ,this encourages more people to play …
  • (Quote) The problem becomes giving people too much versatility. You want to keep most very strong affs off kicks, because they can't be parried and rebounding is going away. Grapples are getting some love across the board, but if the initial …
  • (Quote) Keep in mind there will be testing prior to rolling it out in game. If we get the basics coded, we can play with them and figure out what works and what doesn't. Personally I think Neko's going to come out very strong, maybe a bit wea…
  • After a really good look at Tahtetso, I have to say... I find them pretty underwhelming. They have a total of 4 purity affs, two of which are on the same action. They have an extremely impressive ice stack, but their ice delay is attached to a grapp…
  • (Quote) Ice delay under blackout is not something I want anyone to have, though, and shofangi can blackout with buck at 4.
  • I'm going to side with Wobou in wanting something other than slickness at surge if we aren't going for locks anymore. An ice delay would be better, although that could be too strong with mutilates. Slickness will just get healed off, not really wort…
  • (Quote) I really hope not. Immunity is a 4p defense if I remember correctly, with a chance to go away each time it's fired, and poisons trans requires a pretty hefty investment in lessons and even then only affects one poison. I'm not seeing …
  • (Quote) Well, couple things here. First, talk to your guild! There's not really any class or spec that straight tells you what your kill conditions are, so getting in contact with the people in your guild to talk about kill methods and such i…
  • (Quote) Rebounding is leaving as far as I can tell. Raze is for shields.
  • I expect shofangi to focus on grapples early to build bleeding, and then go into p/p/k combos to raise that level, leading into crunch. In forests I expect crunch to come out a lot sooner, and it'll actually be interesting to see how that plays out.…
  • (Quote) Except nothing you're saying here is making it so that getting rid of the combat effectiveness of tattoos is a good thing. As it stands right now you need to get trans Tattoos to get armour that is LESS effective than what most people are …
  • (Quote) Throwing this out there: please do not lump Tattoos in that category. Tattoos as a tradeskill is very different from the other two because you likely only sell to one customer, one time, and that's it. People don't switch tattoos often, an…
  • Immovable object vs. unstoppable force
  • Think this has gone past the point where anything productive is going to come from it. I'm not going to pretend like I'm any kind of super combatant or anything. I have no opinion on whether bonds is too strong or too weak or whatever. The way peopl…
  • @mjoll Kidnapped my child and won't return him if I don't play occasionally.

  • When did that happen? Well whatever, something always goes nuts in the Basin roughly every thirty years or so. Bandeon jokes about it constantly.
