This is the oldest thread, so it gets my necro wand! Tada!
Over the years, I've seen a lot of idealistic gmcp requests/posts across a few IRE games. Is anyone aware what the status of gmcp work in Lusty is? Like current projects? Is there…

@Yehn That jumble of characters is the ANSI color information. Among other reasons I'm sure, Lusternia sends it to 1.) make it easy to trigger off col…
Did anyone else's avatar change during the password overhaul business? I've been using the default smiley one, but it's now a different default smiley one. I'm of course 0% upset but also 0% sure if that is pointing to a larger issue like password s…
Sorry, I wasn't very specific. To clarify: I always run at 0, but I had to set it to max and then back to 0 for it to catch on. edit: I've also since reinstalled Mudlet into a more suitable directory and have a more satisfactory m&mf install. I …
Ok, unsure about the defenses, but the name DB bug is really simple: The honours triggers won't work if certain lines get broken into two. I changed my wrapwidth to 250 and it fixed it right up.
Also I'm not able to Honours other folks apparently. It's hard to see, but there are some extra spaces in there potentially from where things are gagged:
I am canceling it each time it gets stuck, but I'm unable to use CWHO/GWHO etc. because it will immediately resume trying to check the honours that it can't get. I've also tried deleting the person to give it a fresh start. All temporary fixes.
Hrm, m&mf recently started getting caught up on defenses and the nameDB. The only defense that it gets confused by is Malkuth in HighMagic, and so far only one name has confused the nameDB. Even after deleting the person and canceling, it couldn…
@Asec Gaudiguch and Glomdoring are probably on the lower end of players logged in at one time. Magnagora or Hallifax might be a good spot for you! I don't see tons o…
Kind of Gaudi specific and in the format of a clhelp scroll, but it's easily adaptable for other portal chamber'y or transplanar'y things. Let me know if you'd like help!
edit: Originally, I didn't provide any means of removing rooms…
fwiw my install issues were across 3.1, 3.2, and 3.3, all with completely fresh installs on Ubuntu. 3.1 was from the repository, 3.2 and 3.3 were the portable app images. I also deleted the home directory where all the settings and profiles were bet…
I attached a screenshot of the name DB dealing with nil values. The error is two parts: First, new names that m&mf hasn't checked yet return nil values, but it isn't tested so it throws an error. The problem is automatically resolved down the ro…
At login, s and m are assigned nil values by the pcall. Presumably, other gmcp.Char events have other data which hasn't yet been supplied because we get a gmcp.Char.Name event before a prompt. Because s and m are nil, they seem to always be the wron…
I assumed that enchanted ones were just coded to act like kegs, but it'd be neat if unenchanted ones were available! Or if you could just buy the whole dang cube from the shop for an additional cost. I also appreciate the fun of having to find a cra…
Good to know @Kerith. Thanks for your help, it makes my hunt for the problem a lot easier! It may be a permissions issue with my system. I'm running the portable i…

Wow! Thanks so much for a quick reply! I can implement that easily.
Another function is also having a type issue I've never seen before. This happened from a gmcp.Char.Name event/aka login, but doesn't happen in any other i…
Has anyone tried a fresh install of the newest m&mf (42 I believe) on Mudlet 3.2 or 3.3? I was able to select the .zip, but the package unpacker'er would just blink 'Unpacking M&MF blah blah' before disappearing and not finishing the job. No…
What if regular descriptions were kept under 8 lines with the possible inclusion of DEEPLOOK? Some folks really love long descriptions, but sometimes you also need to see what someone looks like on the fly. I keep mine short, around 6ish lines, beca…

I think there'd be more action if we could also design for artifacts we don't intend to buy. A lot of designers would probably submit designs just for the gratification of seeing their design get used. If the 2,000 goop cost was charg…
@Ciaran The Geyser manual says the majority of overhead is during window creation and resizing events- like when you make a bunch of popups at once. I defini…
