I agree with you about the promocoins.
I think I was thinking more outside of that - even before the promocoins, people were running in. Its minimal effort with minimal downside

Or play tactically and pick your fights rather than all the fights?
I find the overwhelming odds of either side dull.
My favourite fights are the 10 vs 10 fghts and I will happily turn up to those every time -

That is just poor!
Of course there are plenty of other ways to get those ticks that you don't actually have to go into timequakes so maybe they should use those.
The one minute nature of the timequake is tempting though - maybe… -
It just encourages optimised combat people with every artefact to go solo raiding for fun knowing only three people can ever deal with them
In group combat, there would be a general discouragement that if you are not one of the top three … -

I think a gem of cloaking takes you off Rpwho too, and of course everyone has one of those.
So it is remembering to turn that off too -
