I used sleeplocks as a Nihilist, but I used aeon tarot as did most of the Nihilists we tried to work that out with (mana drain doesn't wake, so you could set up wracks, but it is a PITA).
A sleep lock without aeon is unreliable to say the least, in theory there will be a point when natural wake takes too long depending on your mana, their eq speed, and such, but that is not a strategy that is a gimmick.
@Synkarin: Because thinking about things in advance can mean catching problems early or worrying about absolutely nothing in the long run. Given prior discussi…
There is no such thing as a proper tumble in a group. You want to take into account the effect of a group, ask many people what it is like fighting against tarotists, you will be lusted before you move, and you will be empressed as soon as you leav…
Actually we had a little discussion on aeon before, it was not aimed at this... because I would rather see it go away. All groups eventually resolve to damage spam or aeon presently, and the overhaul has made no effort to change that, so we can expe…
- Can we add expected balance lines? AKA the "You eat the wafer"\n<anyline that would go here to show no aff if present> (prefered we have a line to show no aff for easier failsafing).

Like if new asthma is cured by eating, but old anorexia stops that? Not saying that can even come up, but issues of timing for afflictions and all.

Let us know how different they will look and we can work from there. "Hey we are changing aff X next week, that will become DB" If we get some time ahead of it we can prep a toggle in systems to set it as the new version and al…
One or two afflictions, or one or two skills? Changing every guilds version of an affliction makes it fairly uniform, but also potentially hard to balance if we have two sets of cures, especially if they do not overlap on balance... or conversely..…
Yes and no, I am assuming they will use some background tricks. Remember, the new system uses a database, the old system didn't so..... Sensitivity in database vs sensitivity not are two different things, even if they seem otherwise identical.
Rave for being dogpiled by a few people when they saw the amended overhaul, they were afraid I would miss it. Which I had..... though it'd only been somewhere in the area of two hours.
The new approach will be a bear to figure out, purely because it sounds like we are working on trial and error instead of an intended path of afflictions.
The good:
- More flexible than the trees, and doesn't explode …

I am not sure if you are joking....... Envoys have a long record of failing in this regard splendidly. I am not naming or pointing fingers, but many issues that were even agreed on were left not to be touched due to lack of "sc…
We do not have solo combat in Lusternia, so we should be balancing to groups. Mechanics currently support groups, and weigh heavily against solo combat.
Unrelated note though, because I am staying hands off: We have an idea …
Do you have credentials in combat or should we assume you have no idea? For instance, do you think the current level of afflicting and curing are okay? I do not know how long a fight is intended to run…

This idea was brought up to Iosai, she specifically shot it down for the same reason we made changes to the BROWSE system. We have far less books to look over than we do words in newsposts and the old BROWSE could lag things. S…
