Evidence? You mean like the fact that the game's gone so down hill it went free to play? Or would you like the research that shows the customer complaints represent much greater concerns within a customer base, they just lo…

I mean, my reading of what Daxi meant was like... people complaining the CL didn't use their privs to replace one of the Guild leaders. (in some way other than stepping down and contesting.)

It'd probably have ended by now if the contest had moved to an election.
This can happen because of the requirement that three people contest as sometimes people don't run because they like one of the options or don't reali…

Not really, I've now heard the issue from two different people.
Sexual harassment is also generally a factor in why people start complaining about "Snugglewilde" again, aside from innuendo there's also often issues around a…

This is pretty off-topic, but my experience with the Snugglewilders vs Serenwilders is that the people on the more snuggly side are more likely to tell people they don't belong in Serenwilde. Like within the last week I remember someo…

The bolded part pretty clearly, within the context of the paragraph, indicates that different channels have different rules for what purposes they can be used for, but that doesn't mean players can violate "Always stay in character…
None of that really provides a justification with why OOC clans are necessary.
You can disagree all you like with "the notion that a player has to join an OOC clan if they want something other than silence in their organization", because…
Basically reads as pretty much everything is IC. I remember discussions that came down to things like, if a player chooses to take anything from an OOC clan IC then that's their prerogative, same with say squads or ship channels…
I think it's easier to make the policy that all clans are IC and that's that. But I also think a formal combat questions channel would be good for each org to have by default which has the game-wide policies covering …

I was figuring you could just store their name and do a live check up for the relevant stuff so you'd just store the most recent completion, if the quest system isn't already just logging completion times (so you'd grab the most recen…

As has been thoroughly pointed out by this point, camping is an entirely unengaging and unfun mechanic. I also fully expect if you actually got what you're demanding the moment you encountered someone camping you'd be back here …

Yeah, it's why I think completions as a modifier is relevant, someone who's done the quest once should be less likely to get caught than someone who does it as part of their daily routine. (Though the possibility should still exist)
You could give each org their own thematic variation of an "investigation" that fundamentally works the same way. (Seren does a ritual at the scrying pool, Hallifax has some kinda te…

If you don't want to deal with potential punishments and rp consequences because you've decided to perform IC actions that have significant RP and lore based implications then don't perform those actions.
For me, an important aspect of RP is also the consequences of your actions.
Part of doing a quest like the Xeeth labs one is accepting that your actions are really offensive to Serenwilde and, I assume, Glomdoring. It being too sim…

Working against lack of evidence, we do also have powers beyond what characters can instantly access. Like Moon could assist with truth discerning in interrogations, hallifax might have some ability to glimpse back in time, etc. (edit…

Sure, but having something ic like an investigation type quest provides a mechanism by which the "criminal" can be caught without being trivial.
Also, the comments on honours really drive home that it sits on either end of …
Honours quest completions are in-character actions regardless of your reasoning. Lore can be found out without say... being a Glom who empowers Mother Moon, a Celestian who works with the Earth crystal in Xion, a Seren who creates an Eaf, etc.

On a different angle, when you're playing a pen & paper RP and someone has committed a crime, you generally have a reasonable expectation of being able to figure out who has done it after the fact.
