It's an interesting point made about the baggage of previous incarnations of a god. I wonder if the gods have some kind of persistent, personal log that they can just write notes to themselves in?
I don't understand why they didn't just keep those dreamspongemonsters they had scattered around for the event going all the time, allowing people to hunt down the requisite 10 or 20 at will, to get there.
