  • I'd like to but I've held off on officially proposing until we can get around to focusing on Warriors for the big identity project.
  • I disagree with the original post. I feel like if I don't post a page long screed I'll be ignored, but whatever. I'll make a few points.

Arguing from an opposite point, it's bad when classes are overly similar, and can do everything. Art…
  • (Quote) 8800 give or take a few points if I'm not a bard. I can keep up with the ego drains from influencing fine, I have more trouble with influencing fast enough to beat them going willful against strong mobs.
  • I like the change. I'll think over the specific numbers later but this is a good way to further distinguish classes. I'll make a point that in my (unscientific) opinion, max health is overrated for pvp compared to resists. However it does have a mor…
  • This may or may not help for those having stance problems. Make a new script in mudlet and put this in there:
    function shedrin_stance(tbl)<br>	mm.sp_config.stance_shoul…

  • I really don't like the purify effect. Others have made good points about why it's probably too strong, but also even if we want an effect like that, it shouldn't be gated behind an expensive artifact.
  • Anything can bash decently, some are a bit worse than others (Guardians), some a bit better (Warriors). But if you get the right artifacts class doesn't really matter a lot. Monks are fairly complex to start with, then level off as you learn some ef…
  • For burst damage, mages (and druids) are what you want, especially the -chem and -wood skillsets. They have big aoe 'bombs' that can be very effective. Second would be Bards. They don't have as much aoe damage, but they can set up big bursts on a si…
  • I used your chat window up until recently, and I still use it as a base for a gmcp version (with a very hacky implementation that I did), so that still works. Never really used your other stuff.
  • Vitae is great. Sure, sometimes you die twice, but sometimes you're back in the fight instantly. If you can don't care about the essence or death count (which is pretty meaningless), then you should use it. The real drawback is the power cost, imo, …
  • (Quote) The Twitch recording seems to be fine, minus the frozen video.
  • Thanks for the stream, it was pretty fun and most of our questions got answered. However, there was a big lack of Czixi and Isune on the stream (I know Isune was in the chat but that's not enough!).
  • Ok, some questions:
    • How hard is it to make a new puzzle type for quests (like the existing mastermind, sudoku, lights out, logic puzzles, etc)?
    • Observer mode for arena when?
    • What do you think about aethercombat, and espe…
  • Quick update especially for my fellow guildies and Hallifaxians. I haven't been around as much as I'd like, doesn't help that summer is my busiest time for work, but I should be getting on track soon enough. Can always message me if you need somethi…
  • Our dutiful Deputy Commissar got a promotion.

You greet Leeoh Vardan, Senior Deputy Commissar with a sincere smile.
Leeoh Vardan, Senior Deputy Commissar salutes you with dignified purpose.

  • We are especially interested in applicants from Celest, Glomdoring,
Magnagora, Gaudiguch and Serenwilde. We are unlikely to consider
applicants from Hallifax at this time. …
  • C-SPAN: Better drama than Netflix.
  • P.S. give observer mode for arena.
  • It'd be cool to have commentary during some events as well.

The delay on twitch streams make it a bit awkward, but it'd be cool to commentate arena fights too.
  • Pure Q&As too often might be redundant. I think have a general stream where you talk about plans or whatever is going on in Lusternia in a fairly casual manner, and just take whatever questions you feel like answering intermittently or at the en…
  • Personally I'd go Tarot. Glamours is better for tanking and has some nice passives, but Tarot's utility and actives make up for it in combat. Glamours is also fairly power-intensive, with Bards already sucking up a lot of power, where Tarot for the …

  • The loboshigaru demigod and demigod+ powers work with anything. Extra healing is nice for everyone. Theoretically you can maximise the impact with certain classes more, but the race power will be a minor part of your overall power compared to your c…

  • When I'm at work there's no computers or time for it. I dunno about the 'real job' thing, though.
  • How's the spit poison work? Is it eq/bal free?
  • (Quote) See, @Vivet. Told you.
  • I guess the extra straight room matters a little bit, but it's not the biggest issue. Personally, both Etherwilde and Etherglom area really boring to fight in. Most of the fighting happens at the archway, moving around the area is hard and risky for…
  • Besides the conversations you're not around to hear, there's afkers and people doing the game parts of Lusternia, questing, hunting, influencing. Personally, there's definitely times where I should be more social, but a lot of times I enjoy the quie…
  • When serverside curing rolls around, you'll probably want to keep mm around until the issues can be worked out with the server system, then after that, you can disable curing on mm and keep the other stuff you want. That's likely what I'll do and ov…

  • First guild request is completed. The Adherents guildhall is now properly disrespectful to non-Hallifaxians.
  • It was only when messing with paths that I found any bugs, though I haven't tried everything yet (for example didn't promote/demote just yet).

edit: And guild request system seems to be working, though there's no helpfile on it.
