Re: I'm tired

Lusternia should never feel more like a chore/obligation/downer. When it starts to, I'm a firm believer in taking a break. I certainly hope that it would take the form of a brief hiatus or vanishing into a new character for a bit over leaving for good.

The following is a more general statement, and not meant to side with any particular faction in the upset over Ascension. I think we, collectively, should make an effort to be kinder. I know not everyone can get along perfectly. People in groups inevitably clash to some degree. There have been players I just did not like in the past. I'm sure there will be some in the future. However, we -choose- how to act on those feelings. We're a relatively small community. No matter how justified you feel, remember that when you put out extreme negativity you're not just affecting a single person. You're affecting Lusternia as a whole. Does that mean you can't be angry at someone or the game? No. I'm only suggesting that we temper how we act on those feelings. Let's remember that we're all real human people. All struggling to make it through this very crazy year.

I'm sorry it's impossible for me to be brief with these kinds of statements. Kethaera, and anyone else who may be feeling similarly, I hope these feelings are brief and that you're able to find the joy that got you to join in the first place! Everyone else, I hope we can make an effort, despite our disagreements, to be more of a community rather than a band of bickering cliques.

Re: Lusternian Divine AMA

Related question! How do you and or your divine view prayers versus letters?

Edit: Another question I've been wondering about - how would you best recommend non-org members approach your divine? I see from logs there's plenty of cross-org interaction, but coming from the city everyone loves to hate I feel it's a little harder to just turn up and say hi without lots of side-eyeing and suspicion so I've been mulling it a lot. Any general ideas and tips?

Re: Lusternian Divine AMA

I can understand the impatience thing, but I think a lot of people talk to mobs and don't think the mob will talk back to them. I mean, we don't -expect- a god to just jump into the role and start chatting with us, either. There are times I chat up Terentia's orderrealm mobs just to roleplay with myself, and she doesn't respond, and that's fine. Sometimes she does respond, and that's great, but I don't know ahead of time if she will.

Re: Well, Sausage water tea is a *little* odd...

Raezon definitely bribes us with possibly edible things. Like red fruits that disappear before you can eat them. Candy that sends you to Nirvana. The remains of Project Cloudspout that made Coraline see rainbow geese...

Re: Well, Sausage water tea is a *little* odd...

Lady Grey @Sapphira d'Vanecu, the Ensanguined Aesthete whispers to @Uzriel, "Why do our gods not bribe us with sweets?"

I distinctly remember someone dying from eating a raisin.

Re: Lusternian Divine AMA

One thing, that I think I asked a long time ago, but am curious for the answer of todays divine is

1. how do you see prayers and how do you feel like they should be used?

Also a new, seperate question:

2. What's your favorite pet-peeve with us mere mortals? :)

Both sides got what they wanted. Admin didn't make SL lose or IHC win. They made it a draw due to something that both sides have agreed was an issue. I don't understand the resentment of that. SL wasn't stripped of anything by the admin.

Please stop saying this. SL did not get what they wanted. SL did not win.  IHC went from losing (again, in the game's biggest contest) to winning. If you want to be super picky, 'both sides' did not agree to it. The admin asked ONLY parhelion and ixion. Those two people do not represent their whole alliance.
Stop defining getting an ascendant as 'winning'. It is much more complex than that. At best, SL tied.
See my post for things - Large parts of SL defined winning as there being ONE winner.  Some define it as stopping Mag (Celest's whole idea is to stop the taint). To those (which is probably going to be a larger part), SL lost once it was declared a tie/Ixion was going to be raised
