I've got a platter of barbecued ribs that's been in for about a month now. Nothing odd about it that I know of. Some of my other designs are challenging or controversial, sure, but a platter of ribs?
The volunteer admin having events and lots of emails to respond to shouldn't affect the approval process which is done by player reviewers. The admin team only review things that are flagged for divine review (which you can check while a design is pending to see if it was flagged for admin review btw).
I've noticed the massive delay as well, with over a month for one design, and the other is on 5 or 6 weeks, long enough that I've lost track of how long its been.
Dude that’s a little hyperbolic. Twitter said they (the volunteer admin) are getting a lot of emails to respond to and they’re also managing seasonal events in-game. Designs aren’t in permanent purgatory.
I don't know what is going on with designs lately, are there not enough mortal reviewers? Have the Charites disappeared? Everything has slowed to a grinding halt and I am curious why. I like designing but the way things are now I feel like several people are never going to see their stuff go through and the thought that my designs will never see the light of day honestly makes me disinclined to log in or spend money. Why should I save for that cartel or extra tradeskill now?
Please just take a few days off instead. Often when we're stressed or feel overly responsible for things, anything that goes wrong gets magnified and can feel like a personal attack. It's completely reasonable to want to get away from it for a while. I wouldn't want you to regret anything after getting some distance from what's happening now.
I'm really sad to hear you're retiring, Par. I will say that I didn't unlink your manse out of malice; I unlinked it because I unlinked everyone who allowed anyone from New Celest, Glomdoring or Hallifax in. It wasn't meant to be a bullying position but a safety for Magnagora position given what happened when Hallifax left the alliance.
I really hope you have fun wherever you go, but I wish you'd stick around. You're a good noodle who brings fun RP to things.
Tridemon points at Bizirik, the leothin. "Animal." He then points at an adolescent vinestalker. "Vegetable." And then he taps himself on the chest. "Mineral."
I am sorry to hear this. I haven't had a lot to do with parhelion on Kaga, but I have interacted with some of your alts and you have been lovely to RP with. You have been a positive influence on Lusternia and will be missed. I hope that wherever you choose to "settle" next, you will enjoy yourself.
To those of you acting as he mentioned in his post, as Orael said in another thread, you should be absolutely ashamed of yourselves. We are not in a good state at the moment - we need every player we can get to keep Lusternia alive, meanwhile even long-time players are being driven away by toxicity and petty vendettas from a section of our player base that honestly should know better.
act out or perform the part of a person or character, for example as a technique in training or psychotherapy.
"study participants role-played as applicants for community college"
participate in a role-playing game.
"one to six players can role-play as any of over 100 characters"
By stating that roleplay is only the form in which you subscribe to comes across elitist. PK is roleplaying if that is what the character I am playing would do. Shopkeeping is RP if your character runs a shop. Herbing is RP if your character has the Herbalism skill. Now, if you want to take that up a notch and really flush out your character's development then maybe that is a higher form of RP, but just like hardcore PKers shouldn't shut general-PKers out of PK. Hardcore RPers shouldn't shut out general-RPers out of RP. Everyone is entitled to their feelings, but no one should feel superior because of those feelings.
Anything IC is RP. OOC is the only thing that isn't RP. This is why game mechanics are not normally discussed in the open. People avoid saying the word level because of this. As someone who loves theory crafting, my characters try to never talk about seconds when discussing balances. However, most of my characters do have a quality in which they hone their combat skills, so theory crafting becomes RP for them.
