Synl I completely agree with you, much better things to do than burst a blood vessel over a game, however, I would reference the conversation in the Unofficial Discord shortly after the announcement in regards to OOC vitriol. You were there, I believe, and may have had the opportunity to read them, they were many.

To be frank, the people saying that Ixion would NEVER allow Choros to Ascend had Ixion won are categorically wrong. Numerous players have had an overwhelmingly positive interaction with Ixion, both IC/OOC also know that Ixion would have extended the same courtesy to Parhelion. I do wish more of these players would speak up, but I understand and respect your silence.

It is disheartening to see confirmation of the OOC toxicity: personal character attacks, gaslighting and wishing harm upon another player, but hopefully once this collective cathartic moment has passed we can begin the hard work of addressing the things that create such a toxic environment and break with the players that promote toxicity.

I can not really comment on Ixion extending that courtesy or not, I don't know with him. I've only experienced him in his IC capacity and I never was in an org that was allied with him. My optimistic / harmony loving heart wishes of course that anyone finding themselves in such a position would consider extending such a courtesy to their IC opponents in a game, given such a situation.

What I want to endorse, and hence my quoting, is that last bit that @Ruiku said. Pushing forward and past OOC toxicity in this community is extremely important and it addresses all of us. Not one "side", not one "group", not one "org", literally everyone. The amount of people in every org from the top of my head that come across as toxic if you're on their "enemy" side and are super lovely great people once you get past that "enemy" label in this community is staggering. People here are generally lovely, caring and great. We should strive to turn out these aspects on an OOC base. Not telling you to like people you don't, but there's a certain baseline everyone can achieve and it would, I think, all of our experiences better, IC and OOC.

Especially in times where the world around us is literally in flames, pushing forward to become a community that is not toxic to each other is a goal I feel we should aim for.

Thing is, TAs don't necessarily stay put. In fact, one of the mainstay features of TA that really, truly separates them from the VA is their ability to move around to new orgs without losing their status. I can see this from the "strictly competitive" angle, but in the long-run of the game and from a roleplaying angle its just bad business. If Parhelion moved to, say, Gaudiguch in two months time, would that also devastate your sense of accomplishment?

This is also not something limited to you - Serenwilde had TAs that hopped over to Glomdoring. These things happen. I think this sort of framing and attitude is just not a good approach for the event.

Against my better judgement, and while staring at messages that I asked people not to send me, I'm just going to retire most of my characters, leave all of my OOC clans, stay off the forums and discord, and stick around on Parhelion.

Water flowing endlessly into the world beyond, the Font of Creativity stands here emanating a sense

of peaceful serenity and power. Daiua Greenthorn stands here, her midnight-hued eyes darting about

in constant examination. Clasping her hands serenely before her, Kavindra moves through the room

humming, lost in thought and reverie. You notice a variety of WARES for sale here.

You see exits leading northeast, southeast, southwest, and northwest.

You peer at the Font of Creativity unscrupulously.

Ripples shift across the surface of the Font.

Faythe glances about cautiously, and then walks casually over to the Font, peeking

at Kavindra and Daiua out of the corner of her gaze. She leans against the basin edge, glancing down

into the water.

You whisper to the Font of Creativity, "I've come with what I've promised you."

Faythe glances over her shoulder again, as though looking to see if she is being

watched. Then, she turns, gazing down at the Font as she reaches out, a decorative seashell held

betwixt her fingers. She lets it hover for a moment, then drops it gently into the center of the

waters.

You put a decorative seashell into the Font of Creativity.

As a decorative seashell sinks into the depths of the font, ripples diverge across the surface of

the water in concentric circles. In the next moment, the item is gone.

Faythe watches it sink slowly beneath the waters. She pats the side of the Font

gently, as though one might pat a dear friend on the shoulder.

You whisper to the Font of Creativity, "And more to come soon."

You reach out and touch the Font of Creativity.

You dip your fingers in the font, feeling the energy emanating from the depths as ripples shiver

across the surface of the water.

Calm washes through you, filling your mind with serenity and peace. You slowly inhale, feeling at

one with the world.

I strongly disagree with the idea that Equinox was rewarded by Parhelion becoming true ascendant. That was not a reward to our organizations, that was earned by having the most points when it finished.

Also, an exodus of players was mentioned, here’s the only person who won a seal from Shadowlight pre Halli:
