Canonically, there are trill out there with taloned fingers, but they are very rare - in fact there's only one I found in the impromptu Great Trill Audit of 2019 - and realistically are probably exaggerated nails rather than full on bird hands.
No trill have beaks, but there is an epidemic of trill with 'hooked, bird-like noses' if you wanted to get the shape in there somehow.
I actually took a break from playing last night to work on commissions and to draw some non-Lusternia stuff for once (gasp). All of our previous D&D games have fallen apart this year, and so I'm rearing up in case I find a new one. Options are:
Heather Eerk, Aaracokra, Way of the 4 Elements Monk. Has a hilarious southern accent, is sweeter than pie, will abandon the main quest at the drop of a hat if she can help someone.
Aoife Lockhart, Half-Elf Hexblade Warlock. Ran away from home after a fight with her parents, totally wants to be a hero, has a not-so-secret crush on her patron (yes, the sword).
Samson, War-forged Battlemaster Fighter. Made out of spare parts, can't talk because his maker didn't give him a mouth, still learning how to be more like a people.
Amora of the Turbine, Air Genasi Storm Sorceress. Former princess (she thinks), middle child of 12 (she thinks), can't remember anything from before she got her powers.
This was a lot of fun! It's been a couple months since I've worked on any character commissions, so this was a nice change of pace. Getting back into swing of art things (so if you've reached out to me via my portfolio site for commission stuff, expect to hear back from me soon! One down.. more to go!)
Thanks to everyone who flew with me on my first aetherhunt in... who even knows how long. Watching @Lief one-shot dragon after dragon was a thing of true beauty.
So proud of my Hallifriends for taking two villages and two bubbles in the recent revolt and flares. Especially proud of our newbies jumping into the fray.
