manga reading list

Hi, I want to ask if anyone knows of a decent manga that is worth reading? I tend to look at the older ones that are completed, so I don't need to wait for the new chapters each month or each week. Here are the ones I've finished:

  • I just started reading Btooom recently. Noblesse is quite interesting too. It's a manwha though. What's up with the Gantz hate though?

I highly recommend Death Note. It's very clever and thrilling.

Rurouni Kenshin is also my favourite manga of all times and I consider it a classic. The final arc in particular was masterfully written and illustrated. This is actually one of the few I've bought and kept.

It just feels like one of those gag mangas with crude designs but that is put into the plot. With bad sex in between. And the main character is a coward.

Read Death Note actually, the movie was weird though.

Reading now Gintama, it's a slow start, but humorous.

  • Ahh, you didn't go that far into Gantz then.
  • NeosNeos The Subtle Griefer
I mainly read Bleach, Naruto, One Piece, Fairy Tail, D-Gray Man
There are a few I want to read, but haven't felt up to starting them.
Read Kateyko Hitman Reborn while it was going on, sad it ended, hopefully there's a sequel.
Was not a fan of Gantz, at all.
Death Note was good stuff, kinda wanted Light to win though.

I've finished it, and up to date and everything. I just wouldn't pick it up again, or wouldn't be so focused on reading it as it comes out.

  • I don't understand the coward comment then.
  • Hmm. In the beginning, then we have him get cloned, remember? To be with two different women at the same time. Then afterwards with the fighting, it wasn't a storyline that I prefer. So when I mean coward, I'm comparing to other manga's with a stronger main character that is consistent through out the entire story line. Does that make sense?

Basically with Gantz, I try to find every reason not to like it, just because I can't seem to enjoy reading it, that's all.

  • I recommend Dorehedoro! Very gory and odd, but awesome.

Im a huge fan of Shigurui. No other martial arts or other manga captured me as much as this one.
Reading Ninja Assassin now, since Im Ninjakari and well.. I could learn something there. Hah. And its also a very solid history epic about the life of the greatest Shogun and his loyal bodyguard Hatori Hanzo.
