Mudlet Wait timer

I'm fairly certain others have posted questions pertaining to the the Wait timer in Mudlet, however, I have not been able to locate them. I did go to the Mudlet forums, however, given the very little programming knowledge I have, I couldn't wrap my brain around it. Could someone who might have some understanding as to how this works, please help me understand. 

Oh, and the purpose to this is so I can put my defenses up in a timely fashion without having to manually type each and every one of them in.

The function you're looking for is probably tempTimer(), but I'd recommend picking up m&m which has good defense-raising functionality already set up in the system.
