    Examined:
Three parallel lines of differing widths compose this intricate piece,
blurred and indistinct at their boundaries to provide a seamless and
nigh unnoticeable gradient from the skin of its bearer to the inked art
itself. Jagged and grotesque in their depiction, the lines appear as
deep gouges that mar the back diagonally from shoulder to lumbar, each
complete with hanging strips of sundered flesh and uncanny replications
of the muscle tissue beneath their expanse. Profusely trickling from the
jagged tears are rivulets of vermilion and dark crimson, their mimicry
of mortal blood lost as they continue along the contours of the back.
Instead they come to grow and expand into organic blooms and pools of
all colours and none, satiated with incomprehensible glyphs, geometric
patterns and even mathematical formulae that soften and bleed into one
another in a maddening and chaotic display that defies explanation. A
more thorough inspection of the patternless impressions reveals some
identifiable images, from mouths spewing forth tendrils of smoke and
song to eyes opened wide amidst a halo of cryptic knowledge, but soon
these too fade once more to non-being within the myriad of hues and
    expressions.

    Dropped:
Tintinnabulation and whirring circulates throughout the area, seemingly from a whimsical throne
    standing proudly here.
    Examined:
Whimsical music and clockwork whirring surrounds this majestic and
memorable throne. The pedestal at the base is white marble and fitted
with jewels in a ring around the circumference every three to four
centimetres. Around four metres in diametre, the pedestal is pierced
with a dozen poles equidistant from the centre, each covered in gold
leaf and bearing a gemstone creature perhaps large enough for the
average human to ride; an ivory monkey scampers up one pole, chased by
an emerald basilisk on the pole behind it, consequently hunted by a
sapphire gryphon in close pursuit. From opal chimaera to rubescent
dragon, coral kelpie to an onyx bat with outspread wings, each saddled
mount is painstakingly fused and carved from their gems with lifelike
detail. Inside the ring of poles is a smaller pedestal upon which sits a
white oak throne. Finials shaped as cavorting jesters and beaming
harlequins dot the corners of the armrests and back of the seat, while
the silken cushion is crimson in hue, stitched with silver thread with
an intricate "JC" in the centre. Directly behind the seat, a massive
column rises up and culminates in a golden ball approximately half a
metre in diametre. Directly below the ball, a canopy of merrily painted
cloth and silk cascades down from a tented point in the centre, attached
at the ends to a circular ring cunningly suspended via a series of wires
and scaffolding and attaching to the top of the golden poles around the
circumference. On occasion, the poles bob up and down upon a hidden
clockwork mechanism, sending the beasts to moving as though truly
hunting the beast in front of it while fleeing the one behind.

    Appearance:

    Dropped:

Lying partly open, an aged watch rests here at risk of being broken.

    Examined:

Fitting perfectly into one's hand, this timepiece is encased in a smooth polished metal. Cool to the touch, the metal is aged; lush dark bronze in some areas to almost gold in other areas. The stem-wind sits at the top of the watch, well oiled so that the watch can be wound back up. A silver chain has been attached to the end, masterfully crafted into a braid that appears and feels much like scales. The lid is slightly domed, the outer most a soft coppery colour with runic designs etched around the setting in the centre. The setting is made of crystalline glass giving a view to the face of the clock lying beneath. Attached with a tiny hinge, the lid is held securely shut with a small locking mechanism that allows for the lid to be easily flipped open to reveal the time. The face of the clock is protected by a thin piece of glass that fits smoothly into the metal fixture that is the sides and back. An aged off-white surface lies beneath the glass adorned with numerals evenly spaced around the clock face, the only one standing out being the "XII" at the top, which is in red where the others are in black. The face has been removed between each of the numerals and the centre leaving a thin border around the outer edge as well as an inner one leaving the centre open. Beneath the face many intricate cogs and gears slowly turn giving a soft ticking sound, occasionally moving one of the two tiny arms that indicate the time.

The helm itself has a wide brim of forged gold that sweeps downwards to protect the cheeks before sweeping upwards in the front and back, ending in points at both ends. The sides of the helmet bear the images of a small mouse furrikin mounted upon the back of a wyvern in gold. The top of the helm has a sweeping crest of gold, accentuated by a plume of several long red feathers slanting off towards the back of the helmet.

    Appearance:
an elliptical music box of pearl and silver
    Dropped:
Cast aside like so much trash, this music box rests forlornly upon the ground without an audience
    for its bright tune.
    Examined:
Crafted entirely from the gleaming ivory of pearl, this music box is of
ovate design. While its bottom is flat and smooth, the edges of the
container are carefully adorned with delicate crystal filaments. The
diaphanous material creeps along the sides in an aimless fashion,
forming glittering vines that cling to the snowy surface without a
notable beginning or ending point. The lid of the box is plated in a
thin layer of silver, interrupted only by a jagged bolt of uncut,
glowing gemstone embedded into the surface. Curiously, the box looks to
be completely seamless, with no visible means to unfasten it. With
closer examination, it appears that a light pressure upon the
lightning-shaped jewel in the centre causes the lid to quietly pop up
and swing back on an inner hinge. As the cover flips upward, a lilting
tune of merry music pours forth. The clockwork mechanisms tick away and
a tiny, whimsical panda formed of onyx and pearl rises on a small
platform. The endearing creature waddles about in circles, cheerfully
dancing to the tune. As the brief song draws to an end, the figure
retracts and the lid quite suddenly snaps closed. There is a soft whirr
of gears and a final click, before the box is whole and silent once
    more.

    Dropped:
An ornate suit of silver and black plate has been cast aside here.
    Examined:
Forged of brilliant sterling silver, the cuirass of this armour is an
impressive display of filigree metalwork that is securely attached to a
black leather base that extends toward the extremities. Close inspection
reveals several hundred artistic motifs of minute wolves branching in
all directions, depicted in various predatory poses. At the bottom edges
of the armour's torso, a pair of elongated tassets is firmly attached
with blackened rings. The tassets themselves are composed of broad,
non-overlapping metal plates finished with glossy black lacquer and held
together with tight leather fastenings. Tiny loboshigaru runes of inlaid
silver cover each plate, telling ancient stories of noble victories and
heroic sacrifice. Narrower lames of similar finish form the spaulders
which extend as far as the wearer's deltoids, the ends arching broadly
and freely over the upper arms. Upon the right shoulder piece is a
totemic representation of the Pack Mother Herself, a womanly figure in
warrior's plate surrounded by loyal wolves. On the left shoulder, a
painted depiction of the Father and creator Himself sits upon a rock,
small wolves seemingly springing from His outstretched palms.
Painstakingly forged of unadulterated silver, the heads of miniature
metal wolves rest upon the back of the hand pieces of each gauntlet
while their bodies sprawl across the black overlapping plates that
extend the length of the armour's forearms. A bevor of black iron offers
protection to the neck, its body crafted in similar filigree to the
cuirass, though holding fewer symbols of much larger size. Numerous
crimson tassels hang loosely off its lower edges to lie gently upon the
    scintillating chestpiece.

Curled on the ground here is a large starleaf throne carved of emerald and crawling with ladybugs.
    Examined:
Oddly carved, this throne resembles a large starleaf curled upon the
ground and arching upwards to provide a surface to sit upon. Five
splayed leaflets curve up from the ground to a height of perhaps two
metres, and seem to be covered with a multitude of ladybugs. Further
inspection shows these to be intricately carved of ruby, inset with onyx
bits to provide spots. The leaves themselves are veined just like an
actual starleaf, larger veins radiating smaller ones to reach the
entirety of the leaf. Set into the middle leaflet is a small seat,
covered in silk to soften the edges of the emerald and dyed a verdant
hue in order to blend in with the rest of the piece.

  • Changed the font so hopefully the text will parse correctly. On top of putting detail into my designs, I played with the format of the text too, giving some "justified" lines and others patterned lines (a serrated pattern on the serrated katana, for example). It's a fun extra challenge I like adding to my designs.

Item: Katana  Type: Masterweapons  Org: KC
    Commodities: silver 120 steel 120 iron 120 diamond 30 silk 10

IMPORTANT: The main noun MUST use one of these: KATANA, SWORD
    Appearance:
a viciously serrated, diamond-edged katana of sterling damascus
    Dropped:
A silvery katana bearing a viciously serrated blade lies here, forsaken.
    Examined:
Refined Delport silver, hardy Rockholm dwarven steel and robust Angkrag
iron ore have been fire-welded together and then folded countless times
under the intense heat of the forge to create a breathtakingly beautiful
triple-striated damascus pattern. The combination of metals bestows far
greater flexibility and strength to the blade than could be achieved by
utilising any single material, giving it the ability to bear a viciously
serrated leading edge, perfectly designed for inflicting deep, grievous
wounds upon an opponent without damaging the weapon itself. Adding even
greater strength to the blade, diamond dust has been liberally permeated
all along the killing edge, imbuing it with a fascinating sparkle while
also bonding with and further reinforcing the metal. The shimmer of the
gemstone, however, does little to offset the menace of those threatening
protrusions, arching like a row of sharp teeth along this curved weapon
and poised to rend flesh from bone indiscriminately. A flat, steel disk
forms the rounded crossguard of the katana, the image of a snarling wolf
engraved on the top side, curling his furred body about the base of the
blade with a protective posture. Two long, ebony silk strips wrap about
the handle of the weapon, woven meticulously around the full-tang handle
and one another in the unique style traditional to the katana. Reaching
the silver-capped pommel, artfully etched images of wolves seem to leap
out in a synergy of furred forms, depicting a wolf pack caught mid-hunt.

    Appearance:
a howling katana of the hunter in moonlight eternal
    Dropped:
Giving out a gentle, argent glow, a silver-steel katana is dropped here.
    Examined:
Suffused with a subtle sterling effulgence, this weapon's curving blade
bears a faint, argent glow reminiscent of Mother Moon's visage, as if a
shard of her luminous countenance had been drawn down from the sky, and
then masterfully forged into this ethereally beautiful katana. Only the
purest silver and steel has been used, fire welded and folded countless
times to fabricate a flexible yet durable composite, its surface awhirl
with a myriad of silver and grey-brindled striations. The mild ethereal
glow emanating from the silvered steel was achieved with silver essence
generously imbued into the metals during careful process of folding. An
intricately swirling circular pattern engraves the entire length of the
katana, designed to channel the air over the finely sharpened edge with
each swing, the blade singing with a surreal, sonorous howl akin to the
melancholy cry of a lone wolf. Paralleling this unique, musical tone is
the engraved motif of a howling wolf at the base of the blade, its head
tilted back in a perpetual, melodious release, a forlorn expression set
upon its lupine countenance. The crossguard is comprised of a geometric
sphere of the same silver-steel alloy used in the blade, silver essence
imbued into the surface to bestow a soft glow upon the orb, likening it
to the full moon. Set equidistant around the circumference of the globe
are six gemstone disks of moonstone and onyx. The foremost gem, forward
of the blade's edge, is a pure disk of moonstone which seems to reflect
and slightly amplify the gentle glow of the metal beneath it, clearly a
representation of the full moon. Counter-position to the moonstone disk
is an onyx stone, equal in shape and size to the former, decorating the
reverse side of the spherical crossguard and clearly depicting the moon
in its new phase; while the moonstone disk seems to reflect and amplify
the glow from the essence-infused metal, the onyx stone appears to draw
in the argent light utterly, leaving only the deep, inexorable darkness
of oblivion to greet the eye. The last four disks, each comprised of an
onyx and moonstone segment, decorate the remnant of the crossguard with
two of each stone forming into a quartet of crescent-shaped pieces. All
six stones are arranged to demonstrate Mother Moon's never-ending cycle
of change: the waxing crescent and gibbous moon phases appear along one
side, the full moon rises at the front, the waning gibbous and crescent
moons run back along the other side, and the tenebrous new moon, in all
of its lunar glory, all playing out upon the luminous silver-steel base
of the metal, and glowing with Mother Moon's essence. The last touch to
the piece is an elaborately wrapped hilt of pure, alabaster silk in two
strips, both of which are woven meticulously about the handle and about
one another in the criss-crossing style traditional for the katana, and
finally culminating in a perfectly round pommel of glowing silver-steel.

in the available light. A flowing pattern of interweaving lines has been
lovingly engraved along the outside of the ring, one set merging into an
intricately detailed fox on half the ring, the rest depicting a fearsome
wolf. The tails of the two canids curl about one another upon the bottom
of the ring, and their canine snouts are tenderly nestled together along
the top. Two contrasting coloured beryl gems are placed atop the ring, a

  • Appearance: a timeworn greatsword of the eagle
Dropped:Emanating a feel of great age, this ancient greatsword seems to be rooted to the ground by entangling vines.
    Examined:
Time has worn the once shining steel of this greatsword to a dull, charcoal grey, scuffs from battle providing brief glimpses of its past glory in bright, silvery scratches. Spotted clusters of darker greys verging on black mar the base of the blade due to pitting of the metal. Bands of blackened iron wrap around the grip, creating slim grooves that progressively advance towards the crossguard and flare into a pair of wings that would shield the wielder's hands. Gold, aged to a tarnished amber, chase the bands, their engravings tracing each feather with decorative whorls. A medley of tiny brass gears and springs riddle the underside of the guard, which may have allowed the wings to snap open and close flashily with each swing had age not long ago crusted the mechanical devices with an oily grit that has locked them into place. The left quillon stretches into a feathered bow that arcs gently over the sword, resolving into an eagle's head, of which the wickedly curved blade appears to be its beak. Wintery, blue sapphires sparkle from the avian's eyes, set in a determined glare. Feathers from the bow follow the line of the hilt in a subdued crest, leading to talons that grip the moonstone set into the pommel. Minute cracks mar the gemstone, its opalescence reduced to a smoky shimmer. Age and rusting create splotches that paint the metal with brilliant bronze splatters, etchings derived from these stains creating a fine latticework over the blade of the sword dimly evocative of entangling vines.

    Dropped:
A vision of fragility rendered in sun-blanched magnolia hues, a tea bottle of stained glass has been set here.

    Examined:
Expertly wrought from pale, tinted glass, imbued with the warm hues of white, sun-blanched magnolia and nectarous, jewel-toned amber, a cylindrical tea bottle has been rendered an opalescent vision of fragile beauty. The bottle's facade manifests in intricate detail the unfurled blooms of the magnolia tree, anthers curled protectively within each golden heart; the smooth, relucent veneer is divided by branching lines of onyx, illustrating the fluid lineaments of every berylline blossom. Awash with subtle ombre gradations, the stained glass remains unmarred by inadvertent pockets of air, allowing white light to filter through evenly and emerge in faint, honeyed skeins. Similarly sculpted from glass, the bottle's fitted stopper is surmounted by the inclusion of a miniature, pressed magnolia, sheltered from the inevitable passage of time by its sealed glass prison. Affixed to the base of the stopper is a detachable wire cage, poised to be submerged within any liquid contents, intended to hold one's desired herbs, leaves, or dried flowers, so that the fluid may be infused with their sublime essence.
