Rescue and Resolution

[edit] Part of the Gurashi Backstory arc! Wowza!

BOY OH BOY WHAT A GOOD TIME.

Gurashi finally broke the ice and broke down and confessed to Xenthos via a letter all the things that have been keeping them so quiet. So Xenthos organized a player-driven event in order to a) retrieve lost items from Gurashi's pre-portal past and b) rescue his friend, also from pre-portal past, because she went missing. All for the purpose of closure. It turned out to be INCREDIBLE, with some peppered-in emotes from mystery Godmin that made the whole experience just *chef's kiss*.

Thank you to @Xenthos, @Tridemon, @Evette, and eventually @Esei and @Olethea for dropping in to endure this with us <3 And for mystery Godmin for taking it from great to spectacular!

Rescue and Resolution
You have emoted: Gurashi huffs and puffs, approaching the cage, but stopping suddenly at the sudden rush of psionic energy. Their starry eyes widen and they take a step back, letting out a little noise of surprise.

Ocean waves echoing softly behind his voice, Tridemon Regalis, Keeper of Pure Waters says, "Mm. Wonderful. The loudest has arrived."

Suddenly chittering anxiously as she leans forward with considerable effort, an imposing kepheran princess of deep iridescent hues says, "Gurashi ..."

You have emoted: Gurashi looks like a deer transfixed by the light of a wizzer box, staring at the wasp-looking kephera and rising slowly to stand fully in their spot. Beside them, Bizirik's heckles rise and they growl viciously, hunkering down beside the sileni.

"TO THINK IT COULD HAVE BEEN SO EASY... / ALL THIS TIME SPENT CHASING YOU DOWN, WHEN ALL I NEEDED WAS THE PROPER LURE." She laughs loudly, angrily. "/ THEY USE HIM AS PROPAGANDA NOW, BECAUSE OF YOU. A WARNING TO ALL OTHER MALES ABOUT WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU ARE GIFTED AS HE WAS, AND THEN BETRAY YOUR QUEENS..."
Thank you ;A; Thank you so deeply and dearly!!
‘It’s important to be kind. You can’t know all the times that you’ve hurt people in tiny, significant ways.
It’s easy to be cruel without meaning to be. There’s nothing you can do about that. But you can choose to be kind. Be kind.’
