Very much enjoyed the Ascension* events. Reminded me how clever and awesome the Lusternian playerbase (and admin) are. Was good to see everyone set things aside and succeed in the quests, though part of me wonders what it would have been like if we had started fighting and chaos had reigned.
Good to be back Thanks admin team for setting it up!
The number one is the first number we shall encounter here, and likely, in our lives. You might help to imagine it as the single, solitary book you are holding in your hands, assuming you were not stupid enough to purchase multiple copies. You might also imagine it as your future - solitary, alone because you are unable to count; but don't worry, we're here to fix that.
I would like to drop in here and give a huge, huge rave to all the admin who helped create this week's event. It's impossible to see the number of hands involved as a player, but there were so many of them (over 10 in total!) and all of them worked incredibly hard to produce the various moving parts. Some of which were diabolical in their complexity!
A second rave is due to all of you, for throwing yourselves so wholeheartedly into the puzzles and story of Isikathi's Paradox. We have all been given so much joy and happiness by seeing your reactions, and are still buzzing about them today. Thank you so much!
Excuse you, Sylanda can rock ice skates on a summer day at Mount Zoaka if she wants to.
Sylandra steps ever so slightly near the painted dog, her skates making a slight noise as they slide against the mat.
So subtly you almost don't notice it, Sylandra begins to dig through the platter with a fork, casting the occasional grub to the floor in the dog's immediate line of sight. Without casting the dog so much as a glance, she kicks the grub with her skate so that it lands precisely in front of the painted dog's nose.
"Ah, I see you've taken a liking to the ice skates," Daraius says, his muzzle wrinkling slightly at the sight of his flooring so abused by blades. "Whereas I threw mine as far as I could."
A Hallifaxian painted dog observes to grub with rapt fascination, bringing his nose within millimeters of the bug as he settles down to observe it closely.
Looking slightly startled at the mention of throwing, then relaxing as the context is realized, Lady Sylandra Shevat, the Winter Sonata says, "Ah, yes. Chalk it up to Jadicean fancy."
A soft smile turning up his lips, you say, "You wear them well, of course, on ice, woven hemp mats, or any other surface."
There hasn't been enough raves about the event, it was super fun!
I'm sure everybody in Havens had a laugh at our expense in the collective puzzle solving in both the future and the past timequakes.
I'm really curious if there was more to the immaculate puzzle that we missed as once we figured out -what- to do it was really quick unlike the other two puzzles.
@Uzriel it was supposedly a Lights Out puzzle, so switching one of the swirls to light would force the adjacent ones to go dark, and vice versa. Aonia said we (you all, really, because I never got a genuflect off in time) got very lucky and solved it faster than anyone imagined possible. Lucky indeed, because I don't think anyone came to the conclusion that it was a Lights Out puzzle before it was solved.
I'm salty that Daraius is described drumming his fingers impatiently in an events post (and briefly in a room description) because that's so out of character for him, but it was definitely a super fun series of puzzles. Many raves to all involved. XD
I 100% was convinced thinking it was Ashtariel with all the colors and hints at shattered things. I even told Lief OOC this morning I would eat my shoes if it wasn't. Then we got new name of Goddess (my guess was a dead end!), and like 20-30 minutes later I check my inventory. God. A+ admin. I'M STILL SCREAMING:
a decidedly edible looking pair of shoes
P SHOES Made of a soft, very edible leather, these shoes are prime for eating. Much like eating a hat. Shameful and wrong.
It has 51 months of usefulness left.
It weighs about 1 pounds and 8 ounce(s).
It has a warmth factor of 3.
It has the following aliases: shoes.
(The Shadow Kindred): You say, "Oh."
(The Shadow Kindred): You say, "WHO."
(The Shadow Kindred): You say, "GAVE ME EDIBLE SHOES."
(The Shadow Kindred): You say, "WHAT THE HELL."
(The Shadow Kindred): You say, "WHAT THE HELLLLL????"
Things that really happened and made me l a u g h (based off of this log!) Possibly one of my most favorite things to happen in this game. I was scream laughing XD
