Good changes this round! No more instant pins, thank the sweet baby jesus.image

I'm liking the veneration changes VERY much.
Never put passion before principle.  Even if you win, you lose.

If olive oil comes from olives, where does baby oil come from?

If vegetarians eat vegetables, what do humanitarians eat?
  • The new AngelicHost and the new BadLuck sound super great. And the PinLeg change sounds cool too.
  • I'd like to see an update of Ixion's knighhood spec chart with the pinleg change (and cavaliers) included.
  • Does AngelicHost require the corpse of the old body? If not, I can see it making Sacrifice a whole lot less useful.
Everyone is a genius. But if you judge a fish on its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.
  • Pretty sure the report said it will require the body AND end the song. So sacrifice is still hot.

Yes, it requires the body. 10p, requires 5 special songs playing, ends song, requires body.

It's not the world's greatest ress power, but it's still a ress power and still miles better than what it used to be.
  • It also sets a precedent for other bard guilds to start asking for their own rezz abilities (and 2nd rezz skills for each org).
If it's broken, break it some more.

Yeah, except that they hate the word "precedent" as skills go, and loathe the argument of "X has it, so should we".

I don't see this particular case providing a strong argument for other guilds asking for one. It's a pretty unique situation.

  • Though what if our song allows a person to raise up as a lich until the song ends, where everything that was brought up to life would die again? Sorry about the LoL reference, but Mordekaiser's ultimate basically. And it would make sense with the cacophony songs right?
    image
  • Asking for a change to a skill just because another spec has it 9 times out of 10 results in rejection.

Enjoy your Starhymn, Cantors. My work is now done :)
  • KarlachKarlach God of Kittens.
Tbh, Magnagora isn't short of Lich Seed dispensers, it's also a fire and forget mechanic and doesn't require someone there when you die to resurrect you immediately. I don't see why the Caco would need a raise spell.

Would love to see them get an animate dead style ability that uses corpses as aggressive beings, like Necromancy's raise undead but not as useless.

The divine voice of Avechna, the Avenger reverberates powerfully, "Congratulations, Morkarion, you are the Bringer of Death indeed."

You see Estarra the Eternal shout, "Morkarion is no more! Mourn the mortal! But welcome True Ascendant Karlach, of the Realm of Death!

The new blademaster change is working out more or less as planned. Pinleg takes a lot more leg punishment to do now and the tendon change has definitely changed how I fight 1v1. I'm still getting used to it, but it feels easier in some ways and harder in others. Overall, very happy with it.
  • XenthosXenthos Shadow Lord
I am very interested in seeing how it turns out as well; Blademaster combat needed a good shakeup, hopefully this fits the bill.

No. Not really. I don't know why one bard guild getting a certain skill means everyone should get it too.

Need to rethink my plans. Was going to temp forget alchemy/lorecraft until I got secondtradeskill, and learn some tailoring so I can design and make myself some cool clothing. (Like top-hats!) But now...don't really want to lose my Philosopher's Stone sip bonus whilst I'm trying to get enough essence for secondtradeskill. Hmm. (Splendors are good for hunting, but I influence mostly, so I think the Stone is more useful?)

  • o Trans Tradeskill items will no longer function if you do not have the

Umm, I am confused by this.  I thought one of the intended benefits of skillflexing was that you could keep the trans item and use it provided you had not completely forgotten the skill.  Now my tierstone won't work, but my magic tome still does?  Regardless, not a fan of this.
  • Yeah, not a fan of that either.  How does that work for items like splendours?

When you have Tailoring flexed out, your robes revert to greatrobe level stats that are vaguely equivalent (my robes went from 68/73ish to 56/58 or something like it, can get proper numbers when I'm next logged in). When you flex back to it, they revert to splendour level stats.

I understand Forging works in a similar manner.
  • EnyalidaEnyalida Nasty Woman, Sockpuppeteer to the Gods
So now you not only have to take tailoring for protection as a robe-wearer against warriors/monks, you have to keep it. Yaaaaaaay.
  • XenthosXenthos Shadow Lord
It basically makes the multi-trade powers and artifact much more valuable.

  • EnyalidaEnyalida Nasty Woman, Sockpuppeteer to the Gods
Hehe, because some of the trade trans powers have huge impacts on combat.
  • Since brewmeister dwarfs can't skill flex to something else without being totally gimped for pretty much everything I have less sympathy. Although it is a little irksome.

Prized items for artisans seem to stay no-decay but I don't think that's a problem. The benefit isn't really combat related and flexing back only to find your precious creation turned to dust is no good.

Will just have to see how it plays out but it is an interesting change to the current dynamic.

@tacita I was under the impression that masterarmour remains the same so long as you know knighthood.

I've not looked at it/got it myself, someone just remarked to me earlier that it works similarly.
  • Masterarmour reverts to normal plate. You get the -10/-10. It remains non-decay though. I asked Estarra about lesson refunds for people who have learned a lot of now-useless skills, and that's a no-go. The stupid decisions made by the administration of this game are baffling sometimes.

Do splendors then 'act' like normal robes? Or can you not wear them?

    Oops, didn't see Tacita's explanation.

I must now win Beauty Seal so I can learn 3 tradeskills...

  • And what about proofings?  Do two of them just randomly stop working?
