Assuaging my craving for further education by registering for online courses that I'm -hoping- will heavily fortify the weak points in my skillset. Excited

Goodbye, Lusternia
Everiine said: The reason population is low isn't because there are too many orgs. It's because so many facets of the game are outright broken and protected by those who benefit from it being that way. An overabundance of gimmicks (including game-breaking ones), artifacts that destroy any concept of balance, blatant pay-to-win features, and an obsession with convenience that makes few things actually worthwhile all contribute to the game's sad decline.
I joined a woman-only gym today and signed up for Zumba classes. Went to the first one this morning, and now I'm hooked. And wondering where my sanity went to be dancing around for 45 mins It was great fun!

Week of vacation from work. Making it more of a stay-cation, in which I relax at home as much as possible, with a day trip to Vancouver for shopping near the end of my holiday.
Becoming an admin in a game like Lusternia is indescribable. It is a mixture of emotions from the desire to push through being an ephemeral to get your god role, confusion and awe at having this awesome role and not knowing what to do with it, to working on events for your city, order and game at large with all the excitement, worry, anxiety and adrenaline that brings...
It can be just a LOT of... well a lot!
Things have been super busy lately (if you didn't notice! ) and there are people who deserve my utmost gratitude and thanks, and I hope, I am or can even return a little of what they've given me.
@czixi - Partner, Mentor, friend. I could never have expected, or felt I deserved, such a great Pantheon partner as Czixi. She is supportive, amazingly creative and willing to talk through anything I have ever asked about Havens. I hope we can keep cooking up creatively crazy fun things for a long time
@maylea - For being a strong and compassionate shoulder and ear. You've allowed me the room and time to release any burden and listen patiently. I'm not sure I can ever give back how much it does mean to me to have this.
@ianir - Everyone gives Ianir raves, it's very easy to! In the Havens he has done a *LOT* for us, not just players, with respect to Quality of Life and often with the patience of a saint. Sometimes, we'll idly ask for something, and it becomes a reality in minutes. He probably overworks himself, but his love for this game, manifest in all the work and constant vigilance he has for our needs, is something to be remembered.
And a shout to a very special ephemeral, who I cannot name on pain of death, who I am excited for beyond excitement's bounds to have among us and working towards a god role. Hopefully it is soon so the megaplots can begin!!
@hallifax - In every event I'm around for, you guys prove and show me again and again why I just adore you. From the nerdy banter to the scientific explanations in game, it's fantastic!
To Isune's Order - you guys are amazingly lovely. When I'm having a lull day or just too stressed to work on a specific project (though I am anxious about the deadline) it is a special privilege to know and have people who are willing to RP with me, or Volucer, or any other denizen. It really uplifts my day, and gives me the strength to keep pushing on through the less exciting parts of a project.
There is just one more person who deserves a shout. And though they are nameless, I want it written with all the rest how important their interactions have become to me. Lending an ear and offering advice, late night discussions over a great many things!
I have just finished rereading a book I haven't looked at in years. And actually, at first, it was 'just' another school assigned book, but I grew to love it and how profound it is. It went on sale at Amazon for Kindle and I couldn't help picking it up again and coming back to it was like catching up with an old friend. That's how rereading books are for me anyway!
Perhaps it was finishing Flowers for Algernon or just generally knowing I could not be here without the contributions of the above people in my life. No matter the reason, or source of emotion, gratitude is in my heart and I hope these special folks know and realise that I adore them.
Cyndarinused Flamethrower! It was super effective.
Just a rave for Danica Roem becoming the first openly Transgender state lawmaker in the US. Lusternia has always been representative of the vibrant gender and sexual identity spectrum, and though I'm a cisgender gay male, I am overjoyed to wake up to this news today for my transgender friends today.

I have a habit of underselling my own abilities and skill set, and assuming that because my focus is on writing and editing, I shouldn’t hope for much job opportunity beyond the world of teaching.
But call me a Mad Woman, because I just got a sweet marketing job. And I’m crazy excited to start.

Ixion tells you, "// I don't think anyone else had a clue, amazing form."
Estarra the Eternal says, "Give Shevat the floor please."
Does this happen to straight people?
I love you, Lee Child
Also it pays to follow up with people ASAP. Whoo.
"Dad! Dad! Mum just showed me your phone from the olden days(!). It had loads of buttons on it, and when you pressed the screen nothing happened!"
