Today is my daughter's first birthday. She's going to be trying chocolate for the first time later today. My niece is also here to celebrate the birthday in question. :) I can't believe my daughter's already one year old.

To think, a year ago today I was t-shirt-cannoning her out of me...

And now that phrase will live forever on the internet...
It's fairly apt, as long as the cannon in question is a bit prone to getting stuck.

Czixi, the Welkin murmurs, "Fight on, My Effervescent Sylph. I will be with you as you do."

Aian Lerit'r, Lead Schematicist exclaims to you, "A *paperwork* emergency, Chairman!

I'll have you know that process only lasted 43 minutes from start to finish. I had rapid onset labor. That tunnel was not very long for her. She was shot out of there like a potato out of a potato gun.

Because stupid substitute doctor insisted on inducing her, my wife was in labor for 24 hours, pushing for the last 3. She will hate you.
Everiine is a man, and is very manly. This MAN before you is so manly you might as well just gender bend right now, cause he's the manliest man that you ever did see. His manly shape has spurned many women and girlyer men to boughs of fainting. He stands before you in a manly manerific typical man-like outfit which is covered in his manly motto: "I am a man!"

My son was only 11 hours because I had an emergency cesarean.

21.5 hours in labour with my daughter, barely before the window at which they were going to repeat c-section. 10 minutes pushing because I WAS DONE.

Got a call from the VA about it. I am in a very long line. THey were very firm about "don't call us, we'll call you, and if you miss our call, don't worry,  we'll call you back."
So there is some good news.

I got my second dose of the vaccine on Friday and had only 48 hours of soreness! I was expecting to be bedridden all of Saturday.
