Nihilists have pointless deathweapon. It wouldn't be the first time a shared skillset has a skill or two that is useless to some of its users.

Should be redesigned so that they hurl themselves at a target, knocking them sprawling to the ground with a stun.

No one specified which tree you'd be tossing.

The divine voice of Avechna, the Avenger reverberates powerfully, "Congratulations, Morkarion, you are the Bringer of Death indeed."

You see Estarra the Eternal shout, "Morkarion is no more! Mourn the mortal! But welcome True Ascendant Karlach, of the Realm of Death!

-woods using the BODYSLAM emote ought to stun the target.
Viravain, Lady of the Thorns shouts, "And You would seize Me? Fool! I am the Glomdoring! I am the Wyrd, and beneath the cloak of Night, the shadows of the Silent stir!"

  • Woods don't have to use perch in order to swoop. The eq time for perspective trees -> swoop is actually a bit smaller than climb up -> crow perch -> swoop - I don't think that needs to be changed. Although it'd be nice if swoop could start in the skies instead of just in the trees (although you'd both end up in the trees either way) for anyone who uses crow.

You can swoop without using crow?

@Arcanis - A fairly large chunk of phantasms is based on having a meld. Sorry, but that's just the way the cookie crumbles.

He's saying that they can't generate the trees to be up in, a problem I somewhat sympathize with... just not for swoop.  I had an envoy change put in such that -woods count as always being in a forest for the purposes of doing vines, but I don't think they need perma-tree terrain (and none of the other envoys did either, I don't think).

Just as a note, Necromancy does work against other liches, only Contagion doesn't work against Undead (which is a big deal for Cacophony :( )

Yep, breathe plague (as in Urlife, Ascendent power) still works against Undead

    As does Point Spike.

Also, if you are Undead from a Caco's song, you can charge and use your eyeblast, whether or not you are Magnagoran.

You what? That last bit sounds like a bug. I thought that was lich+ only. Next thing you know, we'll be having spirits on spectre isle eyeblasting people.

  • Doesn't matter that much, though. Eyeblast is, frankly speaking, fairly useless.

  • Eyeblast under omen is actually a great strategy for Magnagora to alpha down a primary target in the openning volleys.

I always thought Eyeblast works by imploding an eye...

oh no. It is full on death-lazers of death. Only problem is trying to charge up the damn thing. Is a pain..quite literally.
  • Eyeblast is literally shooting a laser of excorable energy from your eyes like you're Cyclops from x-men.

    It's amazing.

Tattooing is a long, long boring process. One bonus however is the opportunity to socialise with the artist...except that even emotes will break their concentration, thus encouraging the artist to stay silent and make it even more boring. Can it be ok to speak and perform standard emotes while tattooing? And enchanting for that matter!

Says and tells are both okay while enchanting or tattooing, if memory serves.

Yes please. Also, remove balance loss for emotes and put them on a spam timer like says instead.
    I used to make cakes.

Estarra the Eternal says, "Give Shevat the floor please."

They are, but a simple smile is apparently too much and breaks concentration, which I think is a little over the top.

  • Yeah, it would be a good idea to make all the trade skill item-creation activities, especially the currently "channeled" ones, not get interrupted unless the user moves out of the room. Most trades already require standing in a specific room to even start item-creation. It's a mechanical restriction that gives it a certain amount of realism and is pretty cool, but ruining the process for emoting or whatever is just pointlessly frustrating.

Hmmm, in theory, all emotes should break it, which is weird if you look at it from a certain point of view. The point of view that does make sense is... Some emotes might break it, and someone going through the 1000 or so emotes that we have and flagging each and every one of them to be 'break' or 'not-break' is a bit time consuming and possibly not the best way said person should be spending their time. I know I'm beating on a dead horse at this point, but there are higher priority things than that. And you certainly aren't going to be waltzing around while enchanting or tattooing people.

Of course, there's always the part where if some break it and some don't, you're going to be guessing for the most part and rather skip using any emotes than risk hitting one that does break the process, which makes the whole thing a moot point.

No, but since I was talking about woods earlier in the paragraph I just wanted to make it clear that I was talking about both druids and woods at the end.

And then give the same for merian, faeling (<--- hah! More op faeling monks), elfen... and when they come out, trill/lucidian and dracnari

Not really. Stealth monks at least get the illithoid spec, which is a pretty good race for it. Harmony monks getting a spec for kephera is... entertaining at best, considering a female keph has ridiculous stats for monk... and males aren't even close to where a thoid can go.

I don't like the idea of forcing someone to buy a race hat to be the dominate RP race within Magnagora.  Not to mention the city is racist / elitist.  Why shouldn't the supreme race have a spec for monk?
  • EnyalidaEnyalida Nasty Woman, Sockpuppeteer to the Gods
Neither does anyone else RE: Hats. Unless we get some statpack-like (even just stat choices within a range for each race) consideration, that's basically going to be where we are, though.
