I'm not really sure what this means, but I was approached last night by a jovial fellow and we drank together all night. I imagine we spoke about how best to screw over the honest Jewish usurers of Venice as is appropriate in a Shakespearean drama, but it's really all a blur.
Sounds like someone took my invitation to drinks to heart.

avenge us...
(sucks that we died on Night 1, I hope you guys enjoy the game)
Viravain, Lady of the Thorns shouts, "And You would seize Me? Fool! I am the Glomdoring! I am the Wyrd, and beneath the cloak of Night, the shadows of the Silent stir!"
Hmm. Krackenor/Luce both had visitors that could be a number of things. Those could be flavourfully worded protections, or possible jailings, but are more likely to be some form of roleblocking, I think. Cleopatra should be a hero if she's in the game though, right?
@Eldanien It is relatively safe to assume we have a protector in a game of this size, but even so, asking the investigator to reveal information now is probably a bad idea. Outting town just gives mafia another target (they already know who is town, so removing the confirmed people becomes appealing). If they found scum on night one, or think they did, then that's kind of their call... but they might be better off putting fingers heavily in one direction or another, and letting us fall on assumptions if they die during the next night and are confirmed as investigator.
Here's a better question - did anyone experience a feeling that they were swapped around with another person? Given Sylandra's style for describing the specifics of events, I'd have to assume so. Learning who was targetted - and if they are still alive - could be useful. Else, we might have to assume both Thul and Dylara were targetted for kills, and Thul might have switched places with Dylara. What a terribly misfortunate scenario!
One more point of interest - Sylandra has kindly specified the means of death on the player list in the first post. So Dylara didn't go down to poison, as I was getting a feel for, but blunt trauma. Hmm.
All haven't posted yet today, not even a sentence or so. How about we get some assessments from you on the current situation? Some of you might just be busy, but I know some of you have been lurking about!

I meant, it sounded like my post about "drinks on me tonight" was used in a power.

I am but an observer, one who watches and waits. For me to speak means that I have something of note to say, and upon prompting, I seem to have a lack of worthy things to say.

Okay, some people are still going rather under the radar.

Hey, look you, the new Kharkanas book isn't going to binge-read itself, so no more sass. >(
Anyhow, I don't have any particular insight into what happened aside from what's already been covered. The visits to Krackenor and Luce seem likely to be either roleblocks or jailings, based on the flavour for them. Luce said he thinks he was visited by other people, though without any specifics, so that probably makes Cleopatra either a jailor or a rolestopper (since it apparently blocked other visitors)? Since having multiples of those in place seems unlikely, that would probably make Kracknor's visitor a regular roleblocker.

This is actually the game that inspired Vengeance. Welcome to old school!
Still no word if anyone else was moved like I was, so it's possible that the other person was Dylara or even Thul himself. In which case I am very grateful to Thul and BAD mafia types, leave me alone!
PS I'm scared of letting Vivet theorise and lead us all astray.
Originally thought Cleopatra was an escort/roleblocker, but looking at it again, she took us to Egypt, so unless it was a...damned impressive set, I think she and I were removed from the stage.
Newb questions aside, I'm trying to decipher the poems of @Maylea and @Tremula*. Maylea I'm pretty sure just said that she has nothing to add at this time, but Tremula...your words mean bupkis to me. Did you have something constructive, or are you waxing poetic?
*Fair warning: As a general rule, I dislike poetry and I think that the scummy types may try to be clever and hide their information in verse to throw people off. As such, I will be interpreting and requesting clarification on EVERY. SINGLE. POEM.**
**Yes, even after I am dead my apparition will haunt you and demand plain spoken words.***
The jailor is like a protector/roleblocker rolled into one. Whoever the jailor jails for the night cannot have more night actions performed on them, and they can't perform night actions either. I've never heard "escort", though. Might be about the same thing?

It's funny that you mention this, because just during the last day I felt like I was in limbo and was really curious as to how I could contribute. It even seemed like it could be useful if I died night one! But, now that my powers have actuated... I don't know, maybe I should just do a full claim and become the center of attention again!
I think it's a folly that you are upset that there is poetry in a game where words are wielded like swords, and pens like spears. Your inane hatred of the spoken word has no place amongst your peers, on this stage. And your inability to comprehend words does not obligate your peers to explain their meaning. Perhaps the fault is upon you, and not upon us. Words and poetry reign supreme here, and those who have taken their part to heart should not be admonished, but applauded. To speak in verse is not an easy task, and the effort expended should be admired, and not hated.
But, you may not wish to heed my words. That is your own decision, and not one another can make for you. You are on a stage, amongst those versed in poetry and wits. With your words you bring doubt, and your burning need for clarification is but a selfish thing. Perhaps your words speak more than what you say, I would be careful if I were you.

In the words of the bard, tough shit. I do admire Maylea's verse for being lovely while clear, and even yours calling me a moronic, uncultured swine is impressive in a condescending way (thanks for that btw), but this is a game about sharing information, and I'm not going to let obtuse and pedantic poetry obscure important details.
If it helps, think of me as the layperson for whom Shakespeare wrote his plays.

(If we're going to start wielding insults, I feel it's only right that I share this. Willy Shakes knew how to make an insult hit home!)
"Oh yeah, you're a naughty mayor, aren't you? Misfile that Form MA631-D. Comptroller Shevat's got a nice gemstone disc for you, but yer gonna have to beg for it."
You take insult where there is none, my good man. Were I to truly insult you, I would be less verbose. No, I merely point out where you have fallen astray. There is no ill will, on my part, in this situation. I had only wished you to join me in this flyte, it appears I am simply standing here like a fool, alone in this banter. The sharing of information is a worthy cause, and your concerns shall likely be addressed. I merely speak for myself, and none other.
Being a lay person is no less important than those upon the stage, but seeing as you are here, with your peers, upon this grand stage, your role as a lay person may be revealing. Words have double meanings, my friend, and you cast doubt with yours.

Escort is a roleblocker. She...uh...distracts her target each evening, making him or her unable to perform any night actions they have. Not that I took an action last night, I do have a track record after all.
Anyway, @Othero's being unusually silent, is it possible he's being blackmailed?
