This won't help exsanguinate kills land any time soon, but twist is going to be the primary kill method if there's a way to outpace clotting.
The Knighthood special report had decisions rendered last night; there is one in there about Exsanguinate, I believe, so wait for that to come in.
The issue I'm having in playing it is that it's very difficult to make internal bleeding stick, short of having a second PB drop the aff so you can essentially "bomb" it, it's hard to stick.
Will test post change and give feedback as appropriate but just speaking for how things are now (and noting a severe lack of active PBs, anyone else currently playing it or did you all go AL/BC/BM?)
With report 1447, there should be a 4s delay at critical, which should be enough to pull it off.
Been testing of these new bleed changes with Veyils, parry was off and I was going ham, ramping up a limb to critical before pinlegging it with haemotox and even using beast plague to stack up more dust affs to hopefully make it stick.
No good, the whole amount is clotted off before balance is returned each time. The bleed is noticeable but there's really no way to stop it going in the time it takes you to recover balance. Even accounting for high shrugging rates, when the poison and affs all land, it's still being clotted out quickly.
So long as people can instantly clot bleeds, Pureblade is going to be stuck in a rut in solo and small skirmish, it will do well in groups, possibly too well if bleed can be allowed to stick on a target, even a small window of opportunity will lead itself to twist spam. But actually causing bleeding to stick around long enough to even twist is an issue.
Also considering it requires the target impaled, carve is woefully low compared. Pinleg is roughly 1k bleed at critical, carve is 500. Would like to think that kind of bleeding causes mana pressure but as you can't maintain critical leg without dropping pinlegs for strikes, you don't have the pressure to keep up constant bleed values, giving them time to sip/scroll/sparkle mana back.
I don't want to advocate a way for pureblades to delay clotting, but otherwise I can't see a way forward.

Pureblade is in a very tricky spot. In groups it is probably one of the easier warrior specs to synergise with as so many classes can contribute some form of bleeding, often as a side-effect of their normal offence. On the other hand, Pureblade's bleed also synergises very well with other classes because of the high levels of bleeding it can dish out even without any wounds. Unfortunately this does mean that in 1v1 the bleeding is probably too easy to deal with.
One of the flaws that I see in the design of bleeding is that it is a function of pre-mitigated damage, which is a function of maximum health on the target. So you actually do more bleeding against someone with higher max hp than against someone with lower max hp. This can actually make it harder to build up bleeding for exsanguinate on someone with lower hp.
Twist is also the only warrior mod that scales damage based on the "mechanic" of that spec. BM (afflictions), BC (bruising) and AL (wounds) all gets theirs for free. I guess now there's a built in scaling with the amount of bleeding based on wounds, but the fact is still that a PB must use an entire attack to take advantage of the scaling from twist, whereas the other warriors can still either increase the number of wounds or use a mod on top of the damage scaling they get. It is currently adding 1% damage (and bleeding, which is a function of damage) per 5 bleeding. I personally think it should become a passive thing and maybe lower it to 1% per 8 bleeding or something (will need to look into this in more detail - might not even need to lower the scaling). This would give PB more health pressure so that attacks can't just be shrugged off and the mana used for clotting fully recovered with sip mana while using sparkle/scroll for health.
As an aside, I think PB could use a few more affliction mods. Right now it's very one-dimensional because a significant number of its mods are basically just more bleeding.

I think every spec needs a good look at it's mods to make sure they're worthwhile and that there's enough on multiple bodyparts to do significant things and not have to ram into parry all the time. PB is particularly bad at this. The best point is that is has mutilates at heavy.
The majority of warrior mods are not worth using due to how wounding works. It's certainly a balancing thing but for most specs and outright efficiency ideally a warrior wants to spam nothing but wounding strikes with hinder when needed in solo combat.
It sort of feels like a lot of mods are designed there to be used to help build wounds and with correct and smart use bypass parry or build to disrupt but they simply don't work that way and are inferior to pure wound spam.
Or for group hindrance often wounds affs are not as effective as sheildslam/strike\hs.

Nice as it is, cheating death too many times is not good for either the user or their opponents. It's important that when people work hard and get to a stage where the opponent cannot conceivably escape, to also actually give those who worked for it the satisfaction of the kill. I don't think it's too far of a stretch to say that SuspendedAnimation can be a source of frustration. (God knows I've used it to great effect many, many times) It's had many fruitful years of saving the hides of a psychometabolism monk, and frustrating many groups of people in the process. I think it's time to let it end its existence while it is still sort of respected as a powerful skill, rather than become a source of vitirol and bitter disdain in the future, when it finally breaks the camel's back and gets removed and replaced on less amicable terms.
There's also the advantage of being able to somewhat guide the direction and purpose of its new incarnation, which, at the moment feels not quite at a sweet spot (too short and too little outward appearance to feel impactful, even though its effect is quite potent).

The regen will get countered by the music boxes so the new suspendanimation is basically cure an affliction every 6 lines plus -3 balance equi right?
