I'm so happy to see the results of the Grand Aerie's contest for new demigod entrance/exit/look messages! We have so many amazing writers and the entries were all so gorgeous that it was difficult to vote for a favourite. Initially, we planned to use only one entry, but we ended up choosing three instead! A huge thank you to everyone who submitted and to @Isune and everyone else involved for implementing the new messages. I hope everyone is enjoying them!
Following are the three new entrance/exit/look demigod sets for the Aerie guild, featuring their creators:
Enter:
The fluttering of wings precedes the graceful entrance of a bevy of lissome swans from the ether, who dart away to reveal the figure of @Sylandra in their wake.
Exit:
A blur of feathers and wind carries Sylandra towards the ether, elegantly swept away by a bevy of lissome swans.
Look:
Sylandra is here, a bevy of swans soaring elegantly about her in graceful arcs of snow-white plumage.
Enter:
Heralded by a mellifluous, melancholy swan song, @Irillia drifts in from the ether with two ephemeral cygnine wings unfurling behind her in a resplendent display.
Exit:
The ephemeral cygnine wings fold closed on Irillia's back as she leaves to the ether, trailed by the heartrending notes of a melodic swan song.
Look:
Irillia stands here, a pair of ephemeral, resplendent swan wings shimmering like a mirage behind her.
Enter:
@Xeii emerges from the ether with immaculate poise, bringing with her a fragrant whisper of wind wisps and skyblooms.
Exit:
Xeii takes composed strides to the ether as the fragrance of wind wisps and skyblooms fades into the air.
Look:
Xeii lingers here, the coolly pure scent of skyblooms and wind wisps surrounding her form like mountain mist.
She is a Lord of the Transphenortex Grid, mastering the Sculptures of Harmony.
I moved to Hallifax last Sunday, and now this Sunday I complete the epic. This whole week has been awesome (despite working on the quests all the time) but I want to thank everyone in @Hallifax for being so welcoming and helpful. I can't wait to see what the future holds! I also want to thank everyone that's helped me get to completing the epic, so very much appreciated!!
Extra rave:
@Ejderha for being the best e-husband a girl could wish for; @Kendra my wayward e-daughter and golden child
"Oh yeah, you're a naughty mayor, aren't you? Misfile that Form MA631-D. Comptroller Shevat's got a nice gemstone disc for you, but yer gonna have to beg for it."
I keep thinking I'm super squishy for some reason, despite at this point tanking stacks of celestials, roaming the Catacombs without a care, and tonight forgetting the stupid ice larva are full of hurt. Kited a dozen eyebanes and up around for a bit and then fell in in an icedigger pit. Casually popped serpent and havensed out. Maybe I'm not squishy anymore. I'll have to give this more of a try when I'm not already late for bed.

A big for the linking of commune shops to the aetherplex. It's only been a few days since I had the shop I run connected, and there's been a big upswing in customers.
You give the golden heart of Aestra to Nigelo, Keeper of the Faith.
You gain a new honour!
Nigelo, Keeper of the Faith exclaims, "At last, the golden heart of Aestra!"
Throwing his hands in the air, Nigelo, Keeper of the Faith tosses his head back and laughs sadistically.
Gibbering, insane laughter booms across the Floating Island, sending a shiver down your spine.
Nigelo, Keeper of the Faith devours the golden heart of Aestra, slurping the divine essence within greedily. Madness shines from his eyes, and an aura of incredible power suffuses him.
Nigelo, Keeper of the Faith says, "You have served Us well, Tremula. You may travel to the Font of Unquenchable Hunger nestled within the Eternal Ouroboros, and prostrate yourself before it to receive Our blessings so long as your path remains true."
Nigelo, Keeper of the Faith slowly transforms until the form of the Elder God Morgfyre, the Legion, stands before you. With a sly wink, He dissolves into howling streaks of colour that fly into the heavens and disappear.
#167 He ascended the Citadel of Nirvana and brought down the False Gods.
Thrilled that this one is doable now. Since you've done it recently, how many people and roughly how long does it take to complete? I have heard conflicting rumors.
Any sufficiently advanced pun is indistinguishable from comedy.
I had a partner for a little bit of it the most recent time, but amusingly it turns out they weren't needed for the Narcoponatrix puzzle.
If you know what to do, you can do it in about 3-4 hours. Generally speaking, you should bring a friend for the Narco bridge. Don't worry about trying to walk the second person across until you've got a handle on how to manipulate the bridge. I have a feeling the original method was slightly different in solving, but honestly who cares since at least it can be completed now.
You can do it in a bit less if you really know what you're up to. My estimate would be actually ~1-2hrs based on how fast your influencing and hunting are. You don't need to wait on any resets but there's a total of about 300 kills/influences needed. Don't quote me on that exact number.
If we're talking solo, 1 is not happening. I suppose you could crank out 2 hours if you're very efficient. Last time we had to wait on dream crystals for the last 35ish, which was a bit odd since normally you can get all in one round- not sure what happened there.
We didn't have to wait, didn't think. Yeah, the limit is your bashing ability/crits, not resets like say.. Frosticia which requires at least three resets unless you have prior knowledge.
The good news is that the quest doesn't reset, so you can spread out the bashing/influencing if you aren't very efficient.
If you're reasonably tanky/careful you can do the dramatic majority of the quest solo, and it's not that hard. The puzzle was the only really difficult part, and it was just busted. Now that it's fixed, the quest is very doable if you can get to Nirvana.
I haven't seen this specifically said anywhere, and maybe I missed it, buuuuuuuut: The event surrounding the reveal of our new eph, @Kezadeil, was absolutely amazing. I was only there for a small portion of it, but it was by far the best eph reveal I've seen in the entire time I've been playing this game.
I mean, Magnagora sacrificed a poor random elfen in order to locate the Archdemon that served Veritus (That I seriously thought was an NPC at first, major props to @Elissata for agreeing and playing along with that whole thing OOC. You rock so hard.) and accidentally summons a creature from the VOID. Said creature begins to feast upon the essence of city members for days and days, interacting and RP-ing indirectly until we no longer had any idea what we were dealing with, and then BAM @Drocilla comes along and demands that it serve Magnagora and forces it into service and suddenly we have our Ephemeral. It's couched inside of several events, this one more complicated and long running than I'm explaining right now, and nestled in the Year End Event that I can feel coming in my bones. It's so freaking cool. I know I sound like a fangirl but I'm gushing over this because I've legitimately not seen an ephemeral reveal like this... ever.
Now, suddenly, we have Kezadeil, the Black Spark, creature of the void, subservient to Magnagora, Devourer of Essence from all those that he can get a 'taste,' of. It's seriously like we have a mini-god, and not just another random slave-eph that does admin work behind the scenes that we can ping sort of to get something solved. Kez adds a very real, appropriate, awesome degree of RP to the city as an Ephemeral and I really hope that other orgs, and ephs, are able to get this sort of introduction in the future. It's the benchmark for awesome.
In closing... woooooo! So good!
(Magnagora): Thax says, "My truest favour to the soldier that brings me the weave of Neos."
Very proud and happy for our admin in general. They have been doing a lot of events and involved with our creativity in their plotting - Possibly surprising them! @Kezadeil, @Drocilla and any other henchman that I can't name. You are doing amazing things for our org, with the RP and the in-depth involvement.
The cool night-time breeze shivers in the arid caress of the streets of the capital city, brushing the earthen taste of dust across your lips.
*
A blessed silence falls upon the city for the moment, most activity confined to the towers and the theatre due to the snowy weather.
*
Pinprick points of light twinkle in the deep black overhead, their brightness full of a cold, hungering malice.
Raves to whoever was Miilaso, and spent so much time sharing some of the history of the Mirage Prison with us. Made it much more interesting for a non-Gaudiguchian audience!
