  • Mirror mirror on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?
  • In the modern day, there can't be a more correct answer beyond Drocilla. She's drop dead gorgeous and if you disagree then...well, you may drop dead.
  • While I'm sure Uilani probably would give you any artifact if you asked nicely enough - what is an artifact that you miss having that gave you something as a mortal that you don't have as a god?
How did you decide how much to wear? What goes into the thought process of what becomes an actual item vs just some line in the describe?
You, ICly, get to decide what the Trial of Time is going to be - what Challenge do you make?

  • Oh that sure is a question. I was rather artefact poor, and did not have very many, but I quite enjoyed a piece of runed clothing that my character had, as it was a sentimental piece given to me by a player who I had only known through their in-character persona.
As Malmydia is a plain looking goddess, I decided early on that clothing would be of little interest to Her. Yet with Drocilla as a close friend, and as one of the patrons of Magnagora, it would not do to walk around in a simple bloodstained robe, and so I took to player designs for the outfit I've worn since my release, wearing things from Nightsoigne and other Magnagoran cartels. Every piece of clothing, save my hairpin and my flower, are of player origin; at least if you see me in the "mob boss" suit I've been wearing.
I'm afraid Malmydia would have little interest in deciding a Trial of Time, and would instead prefer to offer input on Another's design to increase its efficiency and make it more challenging.
  • What music (specific link or general description) goes with your containment room? For your godrealm?

Which Divine cousins would your god start a music group with and what would the name be?

Perhaps this is my favourite question. Since the links will take up the most space, I'll answer the bottom first. Malmydia would be coerced into joining, and would likely play a flute or similar woodwind, a place where she can make use of her expert fingerwork without putting them into the same risk of callousing that a stringed instrument would carry.
Containment: Harsh woodwind and immediate unease, the sense of something inherently wrong and malevolent watching and moving closer to strike.

Realm: Something with hints of grandeur, but deep sorrow and bitterness mixed in.

  • So! I know this was asked before a time ago, but what game(s) would you feasibly like to add to Lusternia? I know we have at least chess, ghodak (Go), double-up (2048), tessera (connect four), darts, cluedo (sort of, via Stewartsville), and most likely a few others I've forgotten.

    pronouns: they/them
  • How do you pronounce Lady Li-Varili? Where is the stressed syllable?

    VA-rɪl-i:
    LI: VAR-ɪ-LI:
    LI: va-RɪL-i:
    etc.

where i: is a long vowel like see and ɪ is a short vowel like sit

So! Forgive me if this has been asked before, but I wanted to get it down before I lost it.

    1. If your godrole was a FromSoft (i.e. Bloodborne, Dark Souls, Elden Ring) boss, where in Lusternia would They be located?
    2. What is Their signature move?
    3. What would Their one-liner/monologue cutscene look like?
    4. Almost forgot this one: what's Their second stage like?
    5. Okay last one: what would They drop?

    separate question!

If your godrole suddenly found Themself mortal (not splintered! Themself, as a mortal), what would They do? Other than freak the hell out, of course.

    pronouns: they/them
  • 1. I'm not going to ask, I'm imposing My own answer on your AMA - Divine Realms count, so there is a specific room in My Temple, the Icy Throne of the Nightmare.
    2. The like, immediate always go to move that someone loudly yells is a cheater move? It would be ice. Ice something. Maybe a ring that starts at My hitbox and expands rapidly outwards and roots you if you get hit by it?
    3. Much like other parts of the Havens, I'm an avid FFXIV player. It doesn't fit Manteekan, but I fancy an Emet-Selch type dialogue. Something about how you don't understand the sacrifices I've made for taking the Elixir, and being outcast? I'm cast as the villain, but I want to believe you feel sympathy for Me still.
    4. Second form? Well, Manteekan is separated from His body for a reason, so it would have to be that. Rejoined with My physical form, I get more powers. More Excoro-looking.
    5. Lets pull ideas from My actual inventory. The loot table would include a bottomless-type pouch that's an extradimensional space which keeps things inside of a dream, a black marble barghest bottle filled with tea, the hand of the Forest Dreamer, the splintered Quill of the Forest Dreamer, and one of many, many divine cookies. There are other things, but this makes a pretty good loot table.

    Separate question:
We talked about this a little bit over discord. I'm not sure how to answer, other than to get My divine status back, and seek revenge.

Do beasts count? I had a custom beast as a mortal that I miss a lot. I also had a neat stole, I miss that too.

Well, We get custom hair curios, so that goes on obviously. For Me personally, I describe the things intrinsic to My person, and then everything else goes on as clothing. I don't pose anything. One item is necessary because of the whole backstory thing. The other is robes, an Elder has to be decent and if I wanted to play Fain, well.

I would have to find some way to subvert that to My own goals. My immediate, gut reaction is, the challenge would be to go back in time and find the fates of My lost fae so that I could pick up those threads. Something along those lines. That, or something that would stick it to My enemies.

Music is really important to me out-of-play, and helps me connect to my fictional characters. I seek out music that helps me express or go through what my characters are going through. For whatever reason, I don't connect to Manteekan through music a whole lot. There is one specific song that I think captures what I perceive is His relationship with Jadice? Beyond that, I'll need to think about this one.

Love these answers. I feel I understand Manteekan a little bit more, as though the thick veil has opened the tiniest of slivers, letting loose an icy tendril to beckon to the brave, the foolhardy, and the unwary. Might take a peek! Hehe.

    Thank you Mr. Manteekan sir!

    Its a tremendously difficult balance.

On the one hand, I like spilling secrets. I want you to learn the things you're meant to, I want to slowly feed the plant of your existence like a drip sprinkler. But on the other hand, playing a Traitor role comes with additional rules you have to play by which dictate, to some extent, how I should react to things. I am Manteekan, the Nightmare and with that title comes a certain amount of fear (I hope).

So OOC, I really, really enjoy my interactions with folks and absolutely nobody should be afraid or apprehensive, because I do this all for you folks and I like to think I really am a good bean.
But IC I absolutely want to inspire the most amount of terror, unease, fear, or general icky feelings I possibly can (Some exceptions may apply).

So its a bit paradoxical, right?

The first thing that came to mind for me was also my custom beast.

A bit more of a tangential answer is that as a mortal, I was (understandably) very obsessed with movement and celerity. I had a mental map of places, had a bunch of PATH GO room names remembered, and got a small burst of joy when I could zoom over to somewhere really far away super quickly, thanks to a bunch of artifacts (I think I won those extra special winged sandals from the Vaults at one point). As a divine, you don't really walk around, you mostly just...poof somewhere. It's nice, but also a bit sad because I've lost all my mental maps of Lusternia! Don't even try to test me on the layout of Hallifax...

White noise, or maybe a slow, discordant cycling between white noise, brown noise and pink noise. Just loud enough that your mind can't ignore it. Buzzing in your ear, forever and ever...

I don't know about the music group question, but I will say that I love the idea of developing almost any pair-wise relationship between Zvoltz and any other divine. There could be some pretty fun interactions and stories that come from it.

I've never played those games, so will abstain!

Hmm. I think he'd join Hallifax and immediately try to attempt a coup (it's MY orderly city, MINE!) and mobilize the scientists and resources of the Collective to figure out a way to make him divine again (the Design must be restored!!).

    Keep the questions coming!
