Heh, you should've seen the barrage that SWTOR got about announcing same-gender flirting in game. "My 10 year old kid plays and I am going to have to cancel his subscription if this goes in!"

I do agree there's a significant discrepancy between how the general public views violence and sex, to the point serious violence can be almost comical in children's movies. (Most of the stuff in Home Alone will kill you, but it's ok they're bad guys, and they get funny looking faces from it!) Personally I don't see either as something to be shamed, they're aspects of human nature.
Anyway that's me done steering this ship into the off-topic river. As far as Lusternia goes, it's not so much that I think the content of the game isn't for kids, but player mentality leads to situations that the majority of children (there's always that exceptional few) would simply not be in a good environment for them. Be it certain OOC clans and their content, or aspects of the game where people interact and socialise in a more mature (read mature as in the positive enforcement of mindset not mature as in the derisive referring to content not for children as "mature") Personally I know if 13 year old me was playing I would flip my shit at every death, even in PvE and would likely de-evolve into rageposting and abusive tells to other players, even my own teammates who are trying to help me improve because :RAAAAAAAAGE:
Again, not the case of every 13 year old, but the fair majority. Spend a weekend in an open lobby CoD multiplayer and you'll see how it goes.
