I'm not vegan or anything, but seitan tikka masala with curried cranberry couscous might be one of the yummiest things I've made. :x
    I used to make cakes.

Heh, nice.  University here does not go back until March 3rd.  I'm honestly starting to get BORED.

If olive oil comes from olives, where does baby oil come from?

If vegetarians eat vegetables, what do humanitarians eat?

I have 3 semesters left until graduation at this point, assuming I don't screw up and fail any of my papers between now and then.  (After that, I get to decide whether I will branch out and convert my minor in Psychology into a Diploma or Bachelor in Psychology)

Ran my half marathon this morning. Woo! Finished it at a decent pace for me too, 10:13/mile.
    Excellent job.

As for the 'Runners are gross' crowd, that's only a small subset of 'devoted' (read: obsessive) individuals.  Running is excellent for your health, as is common knowledge, and there are plenty of studies linking running (and other vigorous intensity physical activities) to increased longevity all over the place in good journals.  I'd post a few but really would you bother reading them?

Do yourself a favor. Get out there and have fun.

Just remember to stretch for the love of god.

Hopefully, it will not be too long before I'm hitching a ride with people on the snowmobile trails, going snow-shoeing, regularly ice skating, and skiing.
Everiine is a man, and is very manly. This MAN before you is so manly you might as well just gender bend right now, cause he's the manliest man that you ever did see. His manly shape has spurned many women and girlyer men to boughs of fainting. He stands before you in a manly manerific typical man-like outfit which is covered in his manly motto: "I am a man!"

it needs to be said. Rave for @Ieptix for taking all the time before ascension to try and track down lag problems. Its been kinda bad lately but the chaos event, actually was not horrible! (for me at least)

thank you very much for your work and it does not go unappreciated!
I'll second this, sat on top of Malarious and his endless insanity spam and there was roughly 1 3 second lag spike throughout the entire event.

The true battle of Ascension this year isn't Kethuru vs Avechna, it's Ieptix vs the Lag Monster.

The divine voice of Avechna, the Avenger reverberates powerfully, "Congratulations, Morkarion, you are the Bringer of Death indeed."

You see Estarra the Eternal shout, "Morkarion is no more! Mourn the mortal! But welcome True Ascendant Karlach, of the Realm of Death!

  • Started my new job at an accounting firm today.  Feel a little overwhelmed, but I'm sure I'll get the grasp of it.  Tax season is about to fire up hardcore so I won't be out of the office much though.

Still trying to grasp the fact that I live in Las Vegas.

Now I know probably 1% of you even understand that but screw you, I went through 3 accounts trying to make it happen :(

Also a second Rave in general for people around the internet, been tracking a GoFundMe campaign for the family of JewWario on and off over the past few days, (he was a member of video site Channel Awesome/That Guy With The Glasses who sadly committed suicide a little under a week ago), there has been a MASSIVE outpouring of generosity for his family, with over $13,000 being raised in just 3 days.

  • Buying train tickets online in advance, and have them loaded on your electronic identity card always makes me feel like living in the future. Especially handy as I don't have a printer. Not having to queue to buy train tickets also means less travelling stress :) I also checked into my hotel in advance. Yay for technology making travel that bit more enjoyable.

Isn't it always the same? Anyway, I will be playing dodge the bucket because there is just way too much sugar in that stuff. Plus a downside of keto (low carb high fat diet) is that your alcohol tolerance goes down. I hope they got some good dry red wine, then I'll just sit in the corner with that and pretend to be all posh. And drink tea, with the milk actually in it for once, or at least drink up the milk cup.

They've tried variations, one year they added chilli sambuca and something else which gave it a pink colour as opposed to dishwasher water grey. The wine list is pretty decent, I remember they had a good Rioja.

Finding a fellow player with similarities to me I've not found in others, and now can squee with over many many things.
  • CyndarinCyndarin used Flamethrower! It was super effective.

Finding out I get a raise AND a bonus this year. The corporate world isn't so bad.

I also think I've settled on a Lenovo Thinkpad.

  • Nice! Lenovo is at the top of my list for my next laptop(my 3 year old Toshiba is getting a little tired, and the plastic shell has been beat up).

I'm still waiting to see what they do with Motorola(whom they just bought from Google this week). Hopefully they don't wreck the progress that Google had made.

And pay increases are nice.  I just got my first paycheck at the new job.  3 days worth of work has netted me more than a month's pay at my last job. :D

Today got off to a bad start, having to go to the hospital and all that unpleasant stuff, but I found a rather pleasant surprise waiting for me when I got home - my business materials finally arrived! ^___^

Whee, Pokemon Bank is FINALLY out!

(Small note for those of you that play, to claim your Celebi, you will need to access the bank twice - first time you get either 100 pokemiles or 10 battle points, which you need to claim in your game using the "pokemon link" option that will appear, then the next time you log into pokemon bank, you get the Celebi, which again you claim using the "pokemon link" button.)  MAKE SURE TO SAVE IN POKEMON BANK even if you do not transfer any pokemon or you will not get the celebi when you use the link option!

EDIT:  Also note that after the first 30 day trial (which can only be claimed until March 14) it will cost US$4.99 per year to use.
Kiss of the Enchantress hisses eerily, "Let them fear, and despair."

Still keeping my distance from the infamous "running community" (as I tend to do with all infamous communities) but I'm pleased to have reached that magical point where I can run two miles without stopping. It's not easy yet, but at least I can do it without dying. My middle school self would either be awed or appalled.

Good for you, keep it up! The toughest part really is getting to be able to do the first mile or two without stopping.

And it seem like we have a few Lusternian runners here!

I really recommend picking out a race to give it a try, it's a pretty great experience. A 5K is a pretty decent one to start with. It also gives a nice goal to shoot for.  And the whole thing is a pretty amazing experience.

Heh, I've already signed up for my next two races which I can't wait for ;)

  • Yay for running. Still working up to 5km myself here, and nearly at that point. I should look into races also.
