Took Monday off. Then powered through every task assigned to me so my estimated time to complete work sits now at zero, which is after I already took on more work than initially assigned to me. Also did it all without asking the lead dev for help. Suck it, I am going to have me an awesome three day weekend

Yay. I hacked my laptop that was locked by the school I dropped out of by replacing the OS with Ubuntu (shut up) and I got it to run Mushclient. It's just really weird now because it seems a little laggy....and I connected one of my monitors so I still have psuedo dual screen! Just really weird is all because I can't do much about sizing and font....and the display for ubuntu bothers me so much

I wanted to say thank you to all of the people who have been patient with me struggling with IC and OOC interaction over the past few weeks, especially to those who haven't realised they've been doing so. I'm sorry that I've been so yo-yo like in my ability to do so, and I am incredibly grateful for how kind and accommodating everyone has been.
I'm probably going to be the same for a while, so I wanted to post this here both to say thank you but also to reassure people that if I am not talking to them, it is not because I or Tacita have/has a problem with them, it is because I am sick. If I have been avoiding people - and I have! - it is because I cannot cope with very much right now, and that is absolutely not a reflection on anything anyone else has done/is doing, and I'm very sorry that it has probably appeared otherwise. I am bad at communicating at the best of times, let alone when I'm very sick.
As it has done for a long time now, Lusternia is giving me a manageable link to other people when I would otherwise be shutting the world out, and that means more than I can possibly say. That I am able to utilise this even when my capabilities are significantly reduced makes it even more valuable. It is one of many things that gives me a place to sturdily plant my feet when I need to go slinging punches at the awful stuff.
So if I disappear mid-conversation, or don't start conversations in the first place, or waver between logged in 24/7 and gone without a trace, it's because I got distracted by an IRL boss fight, and eventually I'll beat off the adds that are swarming me and be back.
Going Wednesday to get some paperwork done with my local Pipefitters Union rep. A couple of days after, I'll be heading down to the state capitol to finalize the process.
This is both a rant and a rave, but I got Dark Souls 2 over the weekend.
I played maybe a third or a fourth of the first one, before quitting - n part due to time reasons and never didn't feel like going back to where I was and relearning or starting over and replaying areas I did.
Having so much fun, exploring and raging against bosses.
And now I just found and joined a rat covenant that lets you summon people that enter the rat warren area into your game and kill them. It's really satisfying to lure people into traps and killing them when they're clearly better than me at this game.
The rant part is what happened to my weekend/free time? Also how much this game trolls you, I still can't stop playing - it hurts so good.
Slightly messed up my presentation because my code was a bit inelegant so I feared the worst...and got offered a job as a student assistant at the end of the lesson. Yes! Money!
