My rave: one of my Aetolia friends managed to make it to the comic-con in San Diego this week and pick up a limited edition plushie my daughter will be pleasantly surprised to receive for her Skelanimals collection. This may sound like a small thing, but it's not.
My tomboy of a daughter loves skyrim, snakes, bats, and undead animals apparently.

Baltimore inner harbor! Lots of shops, food places, and there's even a huge aquarium (with a humid aviary)! Dolphin show costs extra but is nice for the novelty of it, especially if this is your only time going to the aquarium. I think they raised the general admission price since May for the purpose of making the dolphin shows free. Personally, I haven't seen the dolphin show since I was seven. There's also a science center on the other side of the harbor. Everything's walking distance.

Symphony was so good. A little bummed that some of the music was stuff I'd heard a million times in the Zelda 25th anniversary cd, but the fresh stuff was fabulous. Everything from LTTP and a new treatment of Ballad of the Wind Fish were particular standouts. I'll cut the arrangers and creative directors a little slack for not actually following symphony structure at all, despite repeated claims to the contrary.
I want to rave for a whole bunch of PF people, including but not limited to @Xenthos, @Morkarion, @Kio, @Kregarn, @Thul, @Svorai, @Aerdiya, @Iorwen, @Skye, and anyone else who was in our Skype call a few weeks ago, and other calls generally (I really hope I didn't forget anyone there!).
The particular call I'm thinking of got put together when I asked for some distractions, but what I didn't tell anyone at the time was that I was actually experiencing the worst episode of my depression since I went on medication a few months ago. By answering my veiled request for help, you guys stopped it from getting any worse - and took away the danger I was beginning to present to myself. It took a couple of weeks for me to recover from that episode, and so I've only just gotten the courage to say what was actually going on - which I'm sorry about because you guys deserved a proper thank you a lot sooner.
I'm posting this here rather than just telling these people privately because I want everyone to know how much of a support not just these people but Lusternia as a whole has been to me in my recovery. From several years back when I couldn't leave the house and Lusternia was my only source of social interaction, to now when it enriches and helps improve my ability to socialise, concentrate, see projects through and generally just cope better. It has given me something to wake up for each morning when I feel like there's nothing else that could. This game and this community have helped me so much, and though I do not speak about my condition in public a great deal (though I am very open about my mental health problems) I don't want it to go without thanks.
Lusternia has made me a better person, and much more able to cope with the world, and there really is no bigger rave I could give. I am far from able to cope with my mental health problems, but I am worlds different from the terrified little girl who couldn't leave her bedroom that I was just a few years ago. Thank you all, from the bottom of my heart.
So I got a call while at my Mom's on Sunday afternoon from my brother, our Dad had been rushed to hospital after being found unconscious and was on intensive care. So we grabbed what little we could and went 150 miles (I should note both my Mum and I at different points moved north from where the family all originate from, yet we're not far from each other) to be with him. It was at this point I got hold of Tacita (<3) to tell a few people what was what and a general note to you all to say I was going.
At this point we had no idea if he would improve, let alone if he would wake up. This lead to two nights of barely any sleep and my mind being in sheer hell, first he improved a little, then he couldn't breathe, he was having fits, temperature went from cold to hot. Then last night it all calmed down and he had a peaceful night's rest.
Today he woke up, and hours later when we could see him, he was talking, and tonight he's been moved to a normal ward as he continues to recover.
A month that has been sheer hell with my Stepdad's mother passing away at the start, my Stepdad wearing himself into illness through exhaustion afterwards and then this scaring the shit out of me, has finally had a bit of good news to it. I'm knackered, emotional and almost entirely out of liquid in my tear ducts, and there's a lot of people here who have messaged me and wished me well and been asking for updates, as well as making sure I didn't have to worry about letting anyone else down by suddenly vanishing.
You guys have helped me through what has been the hardest few days of my life, thank you all.
Bit late, but amazing meet up with @Zvoltz, @Valtreth, @Sondayga and @Scax. So much fun, all the laughter, and floor fruit ninja. And other rather extremely random things. Great group of guys, I was concerned being the only girl, but I fit right in and it was great. You guys gave me enough happy for a while to come, seriously. "Rose among thorns" indeed.

Real life is good. It keeps me sane. Especially the wet water part, but water is wet inside too, but when I'm on my bike in the rain riding down the interstate it just feels better.
The sun hurts my eyes though, and likely always will it's too bright.
So. Mom found this neat idea on the interwebs. You take cheap plastic beads, put them in a baking pan, and melt them in the oven. When they come out, they cool, shrink just a little, and pop right out.

I may be coming into a 3d printer soon, and on the cheap. If so, since I know people that can do 3d modeling, things of a Lusternian nature may start making an appearance in plastic
