Daraius has only crossed paths with Parua a few times. Once to give away some tawdry clothing, once to fill an order for stationery, and once for a game of Vengeance, in which Parua objected to playing another round if Marcella stayed. The reaction seemed unreasonable to Daraius, who sees little difference between one non-enemied foreigner and another. He has marked Parua as one inclined towards emotional responses over rational ones (which isn't necessarily a negative quality - some Hallifaxians are like that too). He calls her a comrade only because of the current political climate.
Marcella is another non-enemied foreigner who has proven to be pretty innocuous so far. He finds her pretty pleasant, actually, as long as she doesn't wax overzealous on topics that he just doesn't value at all. She even paid a complement to House Shevat, which earns some points. They share some unexpected preferences and some mutual friends, which makes it a little easier for Daraius to tolerate her, but she's not subject to any bit of the loyalty he gives Hallifaxians.
As for Everiine... Daraius saw him, like, once at the Matrix, but Maellio's hippogriff was there being generally distracting. Sorry. :-/
Kalnid's only met Daraius a couple times and only actually chatted once, but Daraius definitely seems like a perfectly decent person. Bureaucratic, definitely a servant, and thus the most likely sort of person to be reliably, moderately competent. He's still slightly offput by Daraius's toothsmile.
Maligorn doesn't know much about Munsia at all, but he can infer that she's quite powerful. They crossed paths on Air once, and he was fairly happy that she wasn't hostile towards him, even though she ended up taking the lion's share of the essence therein.
They also crossed paths at this latest Estelbar revolt, wherein she -almost- shattered his ego, leaving him wary of this Magnagoran individual.
Daraius first took notice of Maligorn when Maligorn would regularly ask on CT if anything needed doing, which Dar interpreted as an earnest desire for civil service (rather than the expression of boredom it probably actually was). Thus began a process of careful study, measured exposure, and social experimentation that revealed their shared interests (theatre, aetherspace, helping Hallifaxians, etc) and culminated in a successful adoption. Needless to say, Daraius considers Maligorn a prime acquisition for House Shevat. He's demonstrated aptitudes for service, leadership, articulate thought and discussion, art -- all those qualities a good Shevat should have -- and he appreciates Mal's enthusiasm for everything.
But... Maligorn is excitable and easily stressed or overwhelmed (Daraius wouldn't ordinarily pick up on this if it hadn't been for all that careful scrutinizing!), which is concerning to Daraius, who attempts to be (and believes he is) unflappable. When agitated, Maligorn can make hasty or poor decisions (like letting a Magnagoran play Vengeance, to the displeasure of our allies!) that may reflect unfavorably on the Commonwealth and House Shevat. Daraius believes his and Irillia's positive influence will temper this shortcoming.
Daraius, Maligorn, sorry - I haven't had any interaction with either of you at all!
@Munsia - Lillie sees Munsia (and @Shiawase as well) as the typical example of a Magnagoran - harsh, unforgiving, cruel, and overbearing. Unless he sees otherwise, he assumes that all the cityfolk see him as they do: weak, useless, and easy to kick around. He tries to avoid Munsia's notice whenever possible.
@Everiine - Lillie looks at his father with a bittersweet longing. He knows that Everiine was one of the handful of Serens that didn't want for him to go, and at times wants only to return to his family and pretend that none of the last (RL) week's events ever happened. Even before being adopted, Lillie was always encouraged by his conversations with Everiine, seeing the trill in much the same way as Everiine must have seen Lillie: As someone who was educated and even-tempered, someone who didn't get swept up in the political turbulence of the day and instead sought only the protection and preservation of the fae and the woods.
@Marcella - Where to begin? When first they met Lillie was quite taken with Marcella's military bearing and overt might. As they continued to talk, Lillie felt as if he was growing and learning about something concrete and factual, which was quite a change from his more spiritual reading and writing in the Moondancers. Time went on and Lillie began to see things from Marcella's viewpoint, particularly about the ur'Guard being misunderstood and unfairly portrayed. He grew to see Marcella as a protector of the natural world in ways that he himself could not accomplish. The rest, as they say, is history. More recently, he sees Marcella as his steadfast anchor in the crazy world of the cityfolk, as much a comfort as he is likely to find within Magnagora's walls.
@Parua - Parua makes Lillie feel something that he hasn't ever felt before, or at least has only felt in such small amounts that the full force of it is totally alien to him. Parua is the only person that Lillie utterly hates, though for someone as soft-spoken and mild-mannered as Lillie this mostly manifests by him trying to ignore her whenever he can.Ironically, the awakening of hatred in Lillie's heart will probably do more to bring him under the influence of Nil than anything any of the Nihilists could do.
@Rancoura - This is going pretty far back, but Lillie will forever be equal parts afraid of and drawn to Rancoura, having been unable to prove her wrong during her attempts to bring him back to the Shadowdancers. She represents, to him, Mother Night personified, with all the seductive terror that implies.

@Lillie - Having only met Lillie a few times as a Moondancer, Zouviqil was surprised to find out Lillie went to Magnagora. Lillie always seemed to be a very Moony person. Zouviqil was, however, very put off by (what appeared to her) a zealous worship of Mother Moon and dedication to the Serenwilde, the few times she met him and heard him talk. This did not make Zouviqil feel Lillie was a bad person, just a person she might have trouble discussing things with. Either way, she hopes Lillie is adjusting well in his new home.
@Daraius - I believe Maligorn and Daraius first met when the latter responded to one of his blanket calls on the city aether ("does anything need doing?") which culminated in an investigation that took him to the deep underground market of the forest of Ickytrees Glomdoring. (Incidentally, he first met Volucer at this time too, whom he looks at as the most staunch companion a person could have). Despite being intimidated by Daraius at first (consider the difference between being 3 ft tall and 9 ft tall), he almost immediately warmed to him after being invited to several plays, and for continually showing concern at typical mortal things (Maligorn forgot to eat a lot in his time before supramortality, evidently too busy with SCIENCE).
Moreover, Daraius seemed to be completely at peace with himself, and in truth intrigued Maligorn about the possibility of a sojourn to New Celest to learn the ways of the Tahtetso, with every intention of returning to Hallifax once he completed his studies of the monks therein. Maligorn wasn't truly looking for a family whenever he accompanied Daraius to theatre, or attended a lesson in piloting a ship -- he merely wanted to keep in contact with someone with whom his nervous tics tended to be few and far in between.
@Lillie - Maligorn has never met Lillie, but he had noticed that he and @Marcella had gotten engaged. When he probed Marcella about her fiance, she refused to give a straight answer, leading him to believe that either the orclach was ashamed of Lillie or discouraged by infighting in her decision to marry in either Magnagora, Serenwilde, or both.
@Maligorn Mael's first formal interaction with Maligorn, beyond the cursory observation of another waking Furrikin amongst the ranks of the Collective, was the latter coming along and poking him in the gut most unceremoniously. This streak of brashness caught his interest, burgeoned by the conversation following convincing Mael that he is a decidedly bright and inquisitive individual.
Since then Mael has taken a distinct shine to the 'young' Furrikin, doubly so with his confirmation as Daraius' grandson [by some accounting making Maligorn a pseudo-grand-nephew], and regularly seeks out the brash little ball of fluff. Though admittedly whether to encourage his slightly un-Hallifaxian enthusiasm or temper it is of yet questionable.

@Maellio - Maligorn was intrigued by Maellio when they first met, since he was certain that the Chairman of Hallifax would be exclusively held by trill or lucidian. A furrikin holding office was astounding to Maligorn, and it filled him with pride and excitement. Also, Maellio's fairly unorthodox size was abnormal, as well. Which, to Maligorn, warranted a test, hence the decidedly brash belly poke.
After further conversation, Maligorn decided that Maellio's intellect was raw and undeniable, and found that his position as a bureaucrat was necessary but ultimately tiresome. Especially because of continued hints that Maellio had once been an active scientist, which Maligorn styles himself to be (when he's not busy being an artist). Maligorn spends his time trying to elicit reactions of awe from Maellio, trying to rekindle his inquisitive and active nature.
Despite this, Maligorn enjoys spending time with the Chairman, whether they observe the Overcity from the glass overlook of the Executive Board Room or enjoy tea in the Golden Serenity Teahouse. The conversations they hold are always intellectually fulfilling, even if Maligorn sometimes struggles with the convoluted bureaucrat-speak.
Entrias has learned not to accept letters from Maligorn.
Oh, and he thinks Maligorn is bright and worth listening to, if a bit lacking in humility.
Everiine said: The reason population is low isn't because there are too many orgs. It's because so many facets of the game are outright broken and protected by those who benefit from it being that way. An overabundance of gimmicks (including game-breaking ones), artifacts that destroy any concept of balance, blatant pay-to-win features, and an obsession with convenience that makes few things actually worthwhile all contribute to the game's sad decline.
Parua doesn't have much of an opinion on Daraius, aside from that he seems to be an overly generous fellow, having refused to allow her to pay for services rendered in the past.
Paruas' feelings for Lillie are intensely complicated. Not that long ago, she thought very highly of the soft-spoken human, admiring his modest nature, writing ability, and dedication to Moon and the fae. With his engagement to Marcella, a shadow was cast across this impression, and after Lillie put Parua into a situation where she was stuck in a very small space with an aggressive arclich, and sat quietly and said nothing during the conversation her opinion took a nose dive. The nail in the coffin of Parua's respect for Lillie was when, after much meditation and counsel-seeking, she came to offer Lillie a chance to see the error of his ways, and participate in ritual, and how his actions were not in line with the teachings of Moon, or the teachings of the Coven. When he refused, saying that the Coven meant too much to him, she offered him a chance to leave, so he would not have to be cast out, and he refused that as well, and then two months later, left without a word, running to the Nihilists, who, more than even the Shadowdancers (to Parua), represent all that is evil and twisted and wrong. She wrote a letter, trying to convey her feelings, and enclosed what she thought was a symbolic item, but her anger and confusion led her to making a bad decision in choice of item to send, and now she blames Lillie for much of the fallout that has happened as a result. All the while, beneath all of the surface anger and hurt, she still wishes fervantly that Lillie could be convinced to see that what he did, and continues to do is wrong, and that he will part with Marcella and come home.
Parua has great hatred for Marcella. In fact, she didn't know how to hate until Marcella appeared in her life. She blames Marcella for everything that has happened, believing that she used her tainted undead powers (Parua doesnt understand undeath very well, nor does she want to) to corrupt Lillie's heart, and turn him from a dedicated and reverant witch, to what she sees him as now: a Nihilist who worships the Demon Lords that bound and marked the Maeve. Beneath the surface is a grudging respect for Marcella, (that she would never admit) for the orclach is better at spinning words than Parua is, and just adds another layer to her hatred. In their encounter in the carriage, Marcella came off as arrogant and dismissive, not heeding that Parua's (righteous) objections stemmed from Coven and Divine, and constantly citing hisorical instances that Parua felt were either irrelevant, or happened before Parua was born, and had no hand in. Parua also blames Marcella for the fallout for the (as she perceives it) misinterpretation of the letter and symbolic item she sent, and the rift forming in the coven as a result of this entire mess.

@Shaddus - Entrias was sort of intimidating until he realized how, well, devoted he was to both Hallifax and Isune. Moreover, he seems to constantly take time out of his (almost certainly) busy schedule to take lowbies bashing. He's certainly earned Maligorn's respect and friendship, especially for that friendly moment just outside of Isune's Fulcrux. He's also intensely sorry about the letter and is fervently hoping that it will never be mentioned again ever.
@Parua - Mal met Parua at a Hallifaxian Vengeance game, where she managed to prove her own intellectual and charismatic mettle in the fields of Vengeance battle. He was slightly miffed at her decision to leave when Marcella started poking around, and was similarly insulted by the invective she left behind on the alliance aether. He quoted the Ironhart Alliance in the not-too-distant past, and saw that that went nowhere -- he is ultimately concerned about her reaction for the time when alliances shift (as they always do) and they place Serenwilde hand in hand with things they consider impure.
Moreover, he's forgiven Parua for her (perceived) rudeness at Hallifax Vengeance. After all, someone who is so devoted to the ephemeral nature spirits and something as silly as the Moon and its phases is bound to be a flighty and erratic individual. Also, the invitation to enjoy Serenwilde Vengeance helped, and he made it a point to stick around even when Tirah of Gaudiguch came to play.
And, of course, bonus points for being a furrikin, no matter what.
Maligorn. Maligorn is adorable. Adorable being a singular word that perfectly captures what Kira thinks of him. Maligorn has always given the appearance of being a dreamer. An idealist who is never stopped by how things are, but instead of how things can and will be. She gets giddy everytime he mentions wanting to visit another world, and she really wants to help him make that dream a reality.
Just too bad he decided to join a different family altogether. True, she doesn't exactly have much to offer from her own family, but he'd make a fine addition to it anyway.
Everyone is a genius. But if you judge a fish on its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.
Kiradawea's play was the one that got Marcella into Psychodrama, and she recommends it to everyone who ever feels like they want to play the game.
She's one of those Hallifaxians who Marcella has never really interacted with in person, but can get the gist of their personality purely through their works, and so far she's impressed.

Still, though he finds these few points of common ground, he strongly dislikes her and the trouble she's caused.

Ev has one distinct memory of Munsia--attacking a fellow Seren whom she found "annoying". Since then, he has gone from hatred to disgust to annoyance, finally settling on apathy. He has noticed when she abandons her home and finds another, in an endless quest for more power and validation, and never really finding it. She is a dangerous and formidable fighter, to be sure--he hates facing her because she is so good at killing people and not dying herself. But he considers her nothing more than a dead heart animating attacks, with no hope, no future, and no end. She is as close to a Soulless God as he imagines mortals can get--consumed by her own hunger and unable to live any other way.

Ev took a liking to Lillie almost right away. Soft-spoken, polite, and intelligent, she was a breath of fresh air. The more he got to know Lillie, the more he liked her. She was a studious witch (and used the title witch), devoted to Mother Moon, a fan of rituals and traditions, and someone with a good heart. He enjoyed every talk they had, and loved learning about the Coven and Mother Moon from her.
When Ev (finally) got married again, he knew right away that he wanted to adopt Lillie. He wanted to be a father again and get a chance to be a good role model again. Sadly, things didn't quite work out the way he planned. He still loves Lillie and holds him little ill will because he can hear in Lillie's voice how unhappy she is. He respects her choice, for either way, the choice would be difficult and painful. He just wishes he could have found another way for Lillie to be happy.

Nimhuire's had less interaction with Everiine than she or I would like, but she has a great deal of respect for him, and enjoys the stories she's been able to hear from him. She'd love the chance to sit him down and pick his brain on the Winter Court and the traditions and rituals of the Serenguard, but hasn't been able to catch him when she's not busy yet, or has been too shy to raise the subject with him.
Nimhuire feels terribly sorry about the situation with Lillie, and is particularly disappointed that she didn't get a chance to try the ritual she wrote for the situation, as she still finds it impossible to comprehend that someone could just... abandon Mother Moon that way. She also feels guilty that she didn't know Lillie better. She wishes that her understanding of the situation wasn't all secondhand, but there doesn't seem to be any way to fix that.
As for Parua, Nimhuire both admires and envies her friendliness and openness, and appreciates her enthusiasm and willingness to get things done, as well as her ability to handle things like the shop. Nimhuire's secretly incredibly relieved that Parua won the election. Nimhuire didn't think she was around enough, or good enough with novices to be the best choice for the role, a concern that kept her from contesting initially. She appreciates her current role much more, able to work on her own projects, assist with the development of the Coven, and offer advice. She has a few concerns that Parua's following a path that has burned out every previous High Wisdom, but appreciates that Parua is willing to take advice. She worries that Parua may be in a little over her head, but doesn't think anyone else would be any less so, and she hopes that Parua will grow into the role.
@Lillie is up there on Munsia's 'most annoying people' list. Her constant stuttering whether or not caused by some ritual or curse from some random god is a major annoyance to her. The ideal Magnagoran is a strong willed person, pushing themselves to the limit because they have the power to do so. Strength in power, strength in knowledge, strength in being. Lillie seems to be the opposite to Munsia, and the stuttering being uttered on the aetherwaves at an alarming rate, and in person, has her and a few others near ready to strike her dead to see if it would solve the issue much. She's not too sure if Lillie will actually make it in Mag, because if she doesn't strengthen out of timidness, she'll be chased out by a larger portion of the society.
Even though I haven't been setting aside a lot of time to play my Geochem, this looks like a great place to jump in on his behalf.
@Munsia is...complicated. We all know this! From the first few hours of Lasirik exiting the Portal, he knew just from picking up snippets of conversation (and all of the constant peering every time he would come to the Megalith...) that Munsia was not someone to piss off. Of course, -I- knew this as well beforehand, but the impression really hit hard on little Lasirik. Their relationship started off pretty standard, Munsia being blunt as blunt could be while offering invaluable help to a novice Geomancer. Somewhere along the course of the many hunting trips and one-shot conversations sharing viewpoints of this person, that situation, it became pretty clear that there were a lot of common sentiments and opinions across the board despite the steep disconnect in terms of ability and age. For this reason, Lasirik had little doubt when the prospect of familial connections came up. Now, even though he isn't around and contributing as much as he knows a D'Cente` should try to, there's little else he can think to do but return to those plans of helping the family's cause and doing right by both of his mothers.
Now if I could stop taking up so much responsibility on my main and get back to enjoying Mag's kickass atmosphere, that'd be greaaat.

@Lillie: Eritheyl also remembers that encounter (and one or two short others), and gets a sardonic sort of amusement over now seeing Lillie from afar in her new stomping grounds of Magnagora. Previously he would've thought to sum Lillie up as just some bizarre little thing with a less than hopeful future, but after meeting far stranger people with far stranger inclinations, and moreover seeing Lillie as a Magnagoran, he is (and I myself am to a much greater degree) curious to see how that entire scenario is playing out! If nothing else, he knows that despite the shyness and stuttering, Lillie has a genuine enthusiasm that really can't be put into words. Lillie was also the first genderfluid (apologies if the term is incorrect here, it seems fitting) person he'd ever met, which did a lot in terms of opening his eyes to just how diverse the people of the Basin are.

@Eritheyl: Portius has slightly mixed feelings about him. On one hand, Portius used to respect him. On the other hand, Eritheyl is a traitor to the family and the Collective. This is a rather large downside.
Portius has a small shred of hope that his uncle has just gone insane and will eventually see the light, make amends, and return to the Collective. But mostly he thinks that Eritheyl is a despicable traitor who will more likely that not have to be put to the sword, in the name of justice and the common good. Eritheyl has, in Portius' mind, become the archetype of a fallen Collectivist. He failed to guard himself against temptation, and fell into evil to his own loss and that of Hallifax.
Any sufficiently advanced pun is indistinguishable from comedy.

They share some unexpected preferences and some mutual friends, which makes it a little easier for Daraius to tolerate her, but she's not subject to any bit of the loyalty he gives Hallifaxians.
As for Everiine... Daraius saw him, like, once at the Matrix, but Maellio's hippogriff was there being generally distracting. Sorry. :-/

@Munsia - Lillie sees Munsia (and @Shiawase as well) as the typical example of a Magnagoran - harsh, unforgiving, cruel, and overbearing. Unless he sees otherwise, he assumes that all the cityfolk see him as they do: weak, useless, and easy to kick around. He tries to avoid Munsia's notice whenever possible.
@Everiine - Lillie looks at his father with a bittersweet longing. He knows that Everiine was one of the handful of Serens that didn't want for him to go, and at times wants only to return to his family and pretend that none of the last (RL) week's events ever happened.
Even before being adopted, Lillie was always encouraged by his conversations with Everiine, seeing the trill in much the same way as Everiine must have seen Lillie: As someone who was educated and even-tempered, someone who didn't get swept up in the political turbulence of the day and instead sought only the protection and preservation of the fae and the woods.
@Marcella - Where to begin? When first they met Lillie was quite taken with Marcella's military bearing and overt might. As they continued to talk, Lillie felt as if he was growing and learning about something concrete and factual, which was quite a change from his more spiritual reading and writing in the Moondancers. Time went on and Lillie began to see things from Marcella's viewpoint, particularly about the ur'Guard being misunderstood and unfairly portrayed. He grew to see Marcella as a protector of the natural world in ways that he himself could not accomplish. The rest, as they say, is history.
More recently, he sees Marcella as his steadfast anchor in the crazy world of the cityfolk, as much a comfort as he is likely to find within Magnagora's walls.
@Parua - Parua makes Lillie feel something that he hasn't ever felt before, or at least has only felt in such small amounts that the full force of it is totally alien to him. Parua is the only person that Lillie utterly hates, though for someone as soft-spoken and mild-mannered as Lillie this mostly manifests by him trying to ignore her whenever he can.Ironically, the awakening of hatred in Lillie's heart will probably do more to bring him under the influence of Nil than anything any of the Nihilists could do.
@Rancoura - This is going pretty far back, but Lillie will forever be equal parts afraid of and drawn to Rancoura, having been unable to prove her wrong during her attempts to bring him back to the Shadowdancers. She represents, to him, Mother Night personified, with all the seductive terror that implies.

Moreover, Daraius seemed to be completely at peace with himself, and in truth intrigued Maligorn about the possibility of a sojourn to New Celest to learn the ways of the Tahtetso, with every intention of returning to Hallifax once he completed his studies of the monks therein. Maligorn wasn't truly looking for a family whenever he accompanied Daraius to theatre, or attended a lesson in piloting a ship -- he merely wanted to keep in contact with someone with whom his nervous tics tended to be few and far in between.
@Lillie - Maligorn has never met Lillie, but he had noticed that he and @Marcella had gotten engaged. When he probed Marcella about her fiance, she refused to give a straight answer, leading him to believe that either the orclach was ashamed of Lillie or discouraged by infighting in her decision to marry in either Magnagora, Serenwilde, or both.

After further conversation, Maligorn decided that Maellio's intellect was raw and undeniable, and found that his position as a bureaucrat was necessary but ultimately tiresome. Especially because of continued hints that Maellio had once been an active scientist, which Maligorn styles himself to be (when he's not busy being an artist). Maligorn spends his time trying to elicit reactions of awe from Maellio, trying to rekindle his inquisitive and active nature.
Despite this, Maligorn enjoys spending time with the Chairman, whether they observe the Overcity from the glass overlook of the Executive Board Room or enjoy tea in the Golden Serenity Teahouse. The conversations they hold are always intellectually fulfilling, even if Maligorn sometimes struggles with the convoluted bureaucrat-speak.
Oh, and he thinks Maligorn is bright and worth listening to, if a bit lacking in humility.
@Parua - Mal met Parua at a Hallifaxian Vengeance game, where she managed to prove her own intellectual and charismatic mettle in the fields of Vengeance battle. He was slightly miffed at her decision to leave when Marcella started poking around, and was similarly insulted by the invective she left behind on the alliance aether. He quoted the Ironhart Alliance in the not-too-distant past, and saw that that went nowhere -- he is ultimately concerned about her reaction for the time when alliances shift (as they always do) and they place Serenwilde hand in hand with things they consider impure.
Moreover, he's forgiven Parua for her (perceived) rudeness at Hallifax Vengeance. After all, someone who is so devoted to the ephemeral nature spirits and something as silly as the Moon and its phases is bound to be a flighty and erratic individual. Also, the invitation to enjoy Serenwilde Vengeance helped, and he made it a point to stick around even when Tirah of Gaudiguch came to play.
And, of course, bonus points for being a furrikin, no matter what.
Just too bad he decided to join a different family altogether. True, she doesn't exactly have much to offer from her own family, but he'd make a fine addition to it anyway.

When Ev (finally) got married again, he knew right away that he wanted to adopt Lillie. He wanted to be a father again and get a chance to be a good role model again. Sadly, things didn't quite work out the way he planned. He still loves Lillie and holds him little ill will because he can hear in Lillie's voice how unhappy she is. He respects her choice, for either way, the choice would be difficult and painful. He just wishes he could have found another way for Lillie to be happy.
Nimhuire feels terribly sorry about the situation with Lillie, and is particularly disappointed that she didn't get a chance to try the ritual she wrote for the situation, as she still finds it impossible to comprehend that someone could just... abandon Mother Moon that way. She also feels guilty that she didn't know Lillie better. She wishes that her understanding of the situation wasn't all secondhand, but there doesn't seem to be any way to fix that.
As for Parua, Nimhuire both admires and envies her friendliness and openness, and appreciates her enthusiasm and willingness to get things done, as well as her ability to handle things like the shop. Nimhuire's secretly incredibly relieved that Parua won the election. Nimhuire didn't think she was around enough, or good enough with novices to be the best choice for the role, a concern that kept her from contesting initially. She appreciates her current role much more, able to work on her own projects, assist with the development of the Coven, and offer advice. She has a few concerns that Parua's following a path that has burned out every previous High Wisdom, but appreciates that Parua is willing to take advice. She worries that Parua may be in a little over her head, but doesn't think anyone else would be any less so, and she hopes that Parua will grow into the role.

Portius has a small shred of hope that his uncle has just gone insane and will eventually see the light, make amends, and return to the Collective. But mostly he thinks that Eritheyl is a despicable traitor who will more likely that not have to be put to the sword, in the name of justice and the common good. Eritheyl has, in Portius' mind, become the archetype of a fallen Collectivist. He failed to guard himself against temptation, and fell into evil to his own loss and that of Hallifax.
