Is this an actual baked good? This loaf of bread looks more like a lump of rock than anything produced in an oven. It has a colour not unlike that of sandstone, and judging by the cracking in the top the texture is not far off either. Maybe if you get past the crust it's soft, like Delportian bread? Or maybe it's closer to a candy.

This bread, bizarrely, smells more like sand than flour.

You try to remove a chunk of the dwarf bread to taste it, but after several failed attempts you give up and just lick it. It tastes faintly like gravel.

You level your gaze at the dwarf bread and contemplate the many ways you could attempt to eat it. This contemplation leads you to the many things aside from dwarf bread you could be eating, and oddly leaves you feeling less hungry for it. In the end, you just toss the bread aside and leave it for the vermin.
