I got enemied to Lirangsha recently, and I've never had much trouble influencing there until now. I just lost a solid 3% because they kept winning ego battles against me. I'm not cursed or anything either, and I was using bromides, sparkle, etc. to keep up my ego like usual.

They've been in this state for ages. You can tell by looking at them, the description for example when they are weak to empowering is 'a morose scholar' or whatever. When they're weak to charity, they're turned to the side where they are 'a blithe singer' (I forget off hand but they are obviously either happy or sad). Also ANALYSE <mob> to see the disposition. Friendly = weakest to empowering. Working to the weakness of mobs makes a big difference in speed and effeciency of influencing.
